It is a remake of the 1991 Hindi film Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin., which itself is based on the 1934 American film It Happened One Night. The film stars newcomers George Vishnu and Pooja Kumar, while Sarath Babu, Charle and S. S. Chandran play supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
