Ramendra Kumar Podder (born 9 November 1930) was an Indian Bengali scholar of biochemistry,who served as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calcutta. [1] [2] He was a Member of Parliament,representing West Bengal in the Rajya Sabha the upper house of India's Parliament as a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). [3]
Podder was educated at the renowned Scottish Church College in Calcutta,and at the University of Calcutta. [4] He would serve as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calcutta from 20 June 1979 to 30 December 1983. [1]
Sikander Bakht was an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who served as the 15th governor of Kerala from 2002 until his death. Bhagat Singh Koshyari is an Indian politician who served as the 22nd governor of Maharashtra from 2019 to 2023. An RSS veteran,Koshyari served as National Vice-President of BJP and party's 3rd State president for Uttarakhand. He also worked in the education field and he was the vice chancellor of Magadh University and Bihar University in 1965 and 1973. He was also the chairman of Bihar school examination Board.
