The Ramineni Foundation was founded in 1995 by the children of the late Ramineni Ayyanna Choudary in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA for the purpose of protecting and promoting the monumental heritage of Indian culture and the ideals of Hinduism. In addition, the primary mission of the foundation is to facilitate the valiant, relentless and altruistic efforts of all those high priests drawn from a cross-spectrum of fields in arts, science and humanities.
Ramineni Ayyanna Choudary, after whom the foundation and the awards were named, was born on 1929-10-12 in Brahmanakoduru, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India to Veeriah Choudary and Kanya Kumari. He completed his school education in Guntur District and obtained a postgraduate degree in mathematics from Banaras Hindu University. Until 1955 he worked as a teacher in Palaparru and Movva. He left for the United States in 1955, and completed his master's degree in economics and finance followed by a doctorate from the University of Minnesota. During this time, he founded the Hindu Association of Minnesota to promote Hindu culture and civilisation and organised Hindu festivals & social activities regularly. He worked as a professor at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio (1963–1973). He took early retirement from his job in order to devote his time to social and cultural activities, and to raise his children. He established Downtown Property Management in Cincinnati.
He married Suguna in 1967 and gave birth to 6 children – Dharmapracharak, Saradha Devi, Satyavadhi, Brahmananda, Vedacharya and Harischandra.
He established Sangeeth Sahitya Samskrithi Hindu Dharma Nilayam and dedicated it to Indian fine arts. He developed agricultural activities and also established Hindustan Therapeutics at Hyderabad to supply high-quality, cost-effective veterinary medicines and feed supplements to farmers.
On the occasion of his 70th birthday, his children have started the Ramineni Foundation in India on 1999-10-12.
Choudary died on 2000-04-24 in Cincinnati Ohio.

Coastal Andhra or Kosta Andhra is a geographic region in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is the largest city in this region followed by Guntur. The region share borders with Rayalaseema region of the state and Telangana. It was a part of Madras State before 1953 and Andhra State from 1953 to 1956. According to the 2011 census, it has an area of 91,915 square kilometres (35,489 sq mi) which is 57.99% of the total state area and a population of 34,193,868 which is 69.20% of Andhra Pradesh state population. This area includes the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh on the Circar Coast between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal, from the northern border with Odisha to Rayalaseema in the south.

Velama is an upper caste found mainly in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The earliest recorded use of the term "Velama" to refer to a community dates back to the 11th century. In the caste-based hierarchy, they hold a high position alongside the Reddy, Kapu/Telaga and are same castes. In Telangana, they are referred to as "Dora" (Lord) by other castes, a term that signifies a high level of respect. The modern Velama community is divided into four distinct categories: Padmanayaka Velama, Adi Velama, Koppula Velama, and Polinati Velama. Although these groups are separate, they share a common social identity and are unified under the Velama community.
Kapu is a Hindu caste primarily found in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Kapus are classified as a Forward caste, and are a community of land-owning agriculturists. Historically, they also served as military generals (Nayakas) and warriors in Hindu kingdoms such as the Vijayanagara Empire. Kapus are a dominant caste of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) is the governing body of cricket in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The association is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and governs the Andhra cricket team. The association was founded in 1953 and has been affiliated to the BCCI ever since. The ACA operates the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, which hosts International-level Test, ODI and T20 cricket matches. The headquarters of the association is at Visakhapatnam. C. K. Nayudu, the first captain of Indian cricket team, was instrumental in the formation of Andhra Cricket Association and was its founder president. Konijeti Rosaiah was an Indian politician who served as the 15th chief minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2009 to 2010. He also served as the Governor of Tamil Nadu from 2011 to 2016 and the Governor of Karnataka for two months. He was previously an MLC, MLA and MP from the Indian National Congress numerous times and handled many ministerial posts over his political career spanning over half a century.
Chilaka Gorinka is a 1966 Indian Telugu-language film produced and directed by K. Pratyagatma. The film won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film from the government of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Sri wrote the lyrics for the film, while S. Rajeswara Rao provided the music score. This is the debut film for actor and politician Krishnam Raju and also the Telugu debut for the all-time comedian Rama Prabha.
Sri Sarathi Studios is a film studio facility located in Ameerpet, Hyderabad, India. Established in 1956, it was the first film studio facility in Hyderabad and was built by Yarlagadda Sivarama Prasad, the Raja of Challapalli. The first film shot in the studio was Maa Inti Mahalakshmi (1959), which also holds the distinction of being the first Telugu film entirely shot in Hyderabad.

Katti Padma Rao is a Dalit poet, scholar and activist from Andhra Pradesh, India. He is the founding general secretary of Dalit Mahasabha, a people's organisation that spearheaded the Dalit movement in Andhra Pradesh in the aftermath of the 1985 Karamchedu massacre in the coastal region of that state. A scholar in both Telugu and Sanskrit, he has published several volumes of poetry, and books on sociology, religion, philosophy, history, and women's studies. Kanna Lakshminarayana, is an Indian politician, ex President Bharatiya Janata Party in the state of Andhra Pradesh and ex-Member of the Legislative Assembly for Guntur West constituency and ex-Cabinet Minister for Agriculture & Agriculture Technology Mission in Sri. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy's Cabinet. He joined the Telugu Desam Party on 23 February 2023 at Mangalagiri TDP's headquarters. He is currently the member of the 16th Andhra Pradesh Assembly from Sattenapalle Assembly constituency.

The Andhra Pradesh Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Act, 2020 is an act of Andhra Pradesh Legislature aimed at the decentralisation of governance in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The bill was proposed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish three capitals at different places in the state namely Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, and Kurnool, which will serve as executive, legislative and judicial capitals respectively.
