Ramon Cases Nolasco (born July 21,1949) is a Filipino politician who is a member of the House of Representatives representing the First District of Cagayan. [1] He was a member of the Cagayan Provincial Board,representing the First District,and the former mayor of Gattaran,Cagayan. Nolasco is a member of the Liberal Party and a former member of the United Nationalist Alliance. [2] [3]
"Mon" to his family and close friends,Nolasco is the sixth child among the ten children of the late Dr. Tomas Nolasco Sr. and Demetria Nolasco. He was first a lawyer under the Public Attorney's Office in Aparri,Cagayan before he entered politics and won as Mayor of Gattaran,Cagayan in 1992.
He was a two-time three-term Mayor of the said town. He ran as board member of the First District of Cagayan in 2013 and won. [2] [3]
In 2016,he faced former representative Jack Enrile for Representative of the First District of Cagayan. Nolasco,despite being the underdog,was proclaimed the winner having more than 13,000 votes ahead of Enrile. [4]

Vicente Castelo Sotto III,professionally known as Tito Sotto and also known as Tito Sen,is a Filipino politician,entertainer and athlete who served as the 23rd Senate President from 2018 to 2022. A special election for Cagayan's 2nd district seat in the House of Representatives of the Philippines was held on March 12,2011. The special election was called after the incumbent representative,Florencio Vargas died in July 2010. Vargas' daughter,Baby Aline Vargas-Alfonso,was elected after beating former Cagayan Governor Edgar Lara,Vargas' opponent in the 2010 election. Alfonso would then serve the remainder of her father's term which ended in 2013.
