Dawn Michelle Staley is an American basketball Hall of Fame player and coach, who is currently the head coach for South Carolina, and The United States of America. Staley is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, and was elected to carry the United States flag at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics. After playing point guard for the University of Virginia under Debbie Ryan, and winning the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics, she went to play professionally in the American Basketball League and the WNBA. In 2011, Staley was voted in by fans as one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history. Staley was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012. She was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
Teresa Gaye Weatherspoon is an American professional basketball coach and former player who serves as assistant coach for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). She played for the New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and served as the head basketball coach of the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters. Weatherspoon was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010, and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. In 2011, she was voted in by fans as one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history. In 2016, Weatherspoon was chosen to the WNBA Top 20@20, a list of the league's best 20 players ever in celebration of the WNBA's twentieth anniversary.
Candace Nicole Parker is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was selected as the first overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks.
Kara Wolters Drinan is a retired American collegiate and professional basketball player. Standing at six feet seven inches (2.01 m), she was nicknamed "Big Girl". She is the tallest player in University of Connecticut women's basketball history and one of the tallest women to ever play in the WNBA. Wolters was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.

Nykesha Simone Sales is an assistant coach at the University of Central Florida. She is a former professional basketball player in the WNBA, as well as playing in the Bosnian league for the ZKK Mladi Krajisnik club. Her primary position is the small forward. Her second position is shooting guard. In 1999 Sales was added to the roster of the USA FIBA Senior National Team. Catherine Reddick Whitehill, née Catherine Anne Reddick, is an American retired professional soccer defender, who was also an assistant coach of the Boston Breakers in the NWSL. Whitehill last played for the Boston Breakers in 2015 and previously played for the Washington Freedom and the Atlanta Beat in the WPS as well as the United States women's national soccer team from 2000 to 2010. On November 28, 2012, while serving as a television commentator for a match between USA and Republic of Ireland, Whitehill expressed an interest in working her way back into the national team.
Sylvia Shaqueria Fowles is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Fowles, who joined the Lynx in July 2015, was the MVP of the 2015 WNBA Finals, was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in 2016, and won the 2017 WNBA MVP Award. In 2020, Fowles overtook Rebekkah Brunson to become the reigning WNBA career rebound leader.
Lindsey Marcie Harding is an American-Belarussian professional basketball coach and former player. She serves as player development coach of the Sacramento Kings. Throughout her playing career, Harding played for the Minnesota Lynx, Washington Mystics, Atlanta Dream, Los Angeles Sparks, New York Liberty and Phoenix Mercury of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and has played overseas in Turkey and Russia. She was previously a scout and a player development coach for the Philadelphia 76ers. She was born in Mobile, Alabama, but grew up in Houston, Texas.

She played college basketball for the Baylor Lady Bears in Waco, Texas. She is the only NCAA basketball player to score 2,000 points and block 500 shots. In 2012, the three-time All-American was named the AP Player of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four.

Chinenye "Chiney" Ogwumike is a Nigerian-American professional women's basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). As of 2020, she became the first Black woman to host a national radio show for ESPN, also being the first WNBA player to do so. She was one of the first and youngest commentators ever to be named an NBA analyst for the network covering the NBA, WNBA, and variety of sports, while simultaneously playing in the WNBA. Chiney is a graduate of Stanford University, who majored in International relations. She played in three Final Fours and finished as the conference leader in scoring and rebounding as of January 3, 2014. As of 2016, Ogwumike was elected Vice-President of the WNBA Players Association, and signed an endorsement deal with Adidas. In May 2018, Ogwumike signed a multi-year contract with ESPN to become a full-time basketball analyst.

She began playing varsity basketball in high school when she was an eighth grader and played for five years. She is notable for playing basketball while being completely covered showing no skin, except for her hands, while wearing a hijab, a headdress for Muslim women.

She is the longest standing member of the Atlanta team. After immigrating from Colchester, Essex, England, she played her college career at Duke University. Then, she was drafted by the Connecticut Sun 4th overall in the 2015 WNBA Draft, and was traded to Atlanta after only one year with the Sun.

Anna Christine Wilson is an American college basketball player for the Stanford Cardinal in the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division I women's basketball. At the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship for Women, Wilson won a gold medal as a part of Team USA; for the Bellevue High School Wolverines, for whom Wilson played as a senior, Wilson averaged 15.3 points per game as the Wolverines finished with an undefeated season. At Stanford, Wilson played primarily a bench role until her fifth-year senior year, where she started every game and won the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship Game with the Cardinal. Her brother Russell Wilson is a quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League.
