Rana Safvi (born 1957) is an Indian columnist, writer, and historian based in Delhi. She is the author of ten books including In Search of the Divine [1] and The Forgotten Cities of Delhi. Early life and education

Rana Safvi was born in year 1957 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, to Syed Asghar Abbas Zaidi, an IPS officer and Azra Zaidi, a teacher. [14] [15] [16]

She completed Master of Arts in Medieval History from the Aligarh Muslim University.

Personal life

Rana Safvi married Syed Gazanfar Abbas Safvi, an engineer from Shamsabad, Uttar Pradesh, in 1981 and they have 2 children.

<i>Kaun Banega Crorepati</i> Indian game show

Kaun Banega Crorepati is an Indian Hindi-language television game show. It is the official Hindi adaptation of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? franchise. It began with actor Amitabh Bachchan as presenter. The actor Shah Rukh Khan replaced Bachchan for the third season, after which Bachchan returned as the presenter. The programme aired on Star Plus for its first three seasons from 2000 to 2007, and was commissioned by the programming team of Sameer Nair. The book focuses on the Mehrauli and Firozabad areas. It was published by HarperCollins India on 19 May 2018.

Shamsuddin Turk Shah Wilayat Panipati (1259–1413) was a Sufi saint of Chishty and Qadiriyya order who was a mureed and only Khalifa of Makhdoom Alauddin Sabir Kaliyari. Panipati took the oath of allegiance to Khwaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar.
