Randall Lee Van Divier (born June 5, 1958) is a former American football offensive lineman. Van Divier, who played at Anaheim High School, was a captain for the 1980 Pac-10 champion Washington Huskies, and was later selected by the Baltimore Colts as the 68th overall pick in the third round of the 1981 NFL draft. After playing in 16 games with one start, Van Divier was cut by the Colts prior to the 1982 NFL season. Van Divier then signed with the Los Angeles Raiders but did not see action during the season. In 1983, he was cut by the Raiders at the end of training camp, and went on to play for the Oakland Invaders of the United States Football League (USFL) during the league's 1984 season. Following the season, he was signed and released by both the New Jersey Generals and the Portland Breakers prior to the 1985 USFL season but did not play for either team. He was re-signed by the Los Angeles Raiders but suffered a broken leg during a 1985 preseason game and was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Van Divier returned in 1986 but was waived during training camp prior to the regular season.

The United States Football League (USFL) was a professional American football league that played for three seasons, 1983 through 1985. The league played a spring/summer schedule in each of its active seasons. The 1986 season was scheduled to be played in the autumn/winter, directly competing against the long-established National Football League (NFL). However, the USFL ceased operations before that season was scheduled to begin.
The Oakland Invaders were a professional American football team that played in the United States Football League (USFL) from 1983 through 1985. Based in Oakland, California, they played at the Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum.
The Los Angeles Express was a team in the United States Football League (USFL) based in Los Angeles, California. Playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Express competed in all three of the USFL seasons played between 1983 and 1985.

In the 1970s, he was a successful general manager for the NFL's Baltimore Colts and Los Angeles Rams, and in the 1980s he signed All-American quarterback Steve Young to a record contract for the Los Angeles Express in the United States Football League (USFL).
Dave Simmons is a former linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) and the United States Football League (USFL). He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 1979 NFL Draft and played that season with the team. The following season, he was a member of the Detroit Lions. After a season away from the NFL, he played with the Baltimore Colts during the 1982 NFL season and the Chicago Bears during the 1983 NFL season. In the fall of 1984, Simmons signed with the defending USFL Champion Baltimore Stars but was traded to the Houston Gamblers for a draft choice during training camp in February 1985. Simmons made the opening day roster of the Gamblers, however, was deactivated for the first game at Los Angeles and two days later was waived. Three weeks later, Simmons signed with the Arizona Outlaws and played as a reserve linebacker for the remaining 15 games.

He was drafted by the New Jersey Generals in the 1986 USFL Territorial Draft, but did not sign with the team, as he was also drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He was waived by the Eagles during final roster cuts on August 19, 1986, but was re-signed on October 15. He played for the Eagles in 1986 and 1987, and was an offseason member of the Los Angeles Raiders in 1988. He played for the Columbus Thunderbolts of the Arena Football League (AFL) in 1991.
