Färger and Neumann first worked together producing remixes for the Frankfurt-based record label 3p (Pelham Power Productions), working with the German pop/soul band Glashaus and rapper Sabrina Setlur. The two first appeared together as a rap duo as Dreckskind & Pechvogel (lit. "Child of Squalor and Unlucky Devil"), releasing an EP named LebensArt von Dreckskind & Pechvogel ("The LifeStyle of Child of Squalor and Unlucky Devil").
The duo's talent was spotted by a radio station based in Hesse, Germany, and one of their songs became a regular part of the radio station's 2004 summer tour of public swimming baths in Hessen. During this time, German commercial television station RTL's attention was drawn to the pair.
It was at this time that Jan and Steve, together with soul singer C.J. Taylor, decided to rename the band Rapsoul; a name which described the band's musical style. Following several successful live gigs, the band was invited to perform as the supporting act for the Backstreet Boys' October 2005 tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
At the end of 2005, the band recorded their debut album, Unbeschrieblich ("Indescribable"), which was released in Germany on 31 March 2006. Their debut single, Verzweifelt ("Desperate"), released on 25 November 2005, peaked at number 21 in the German singles chart. Following the success of their debut single, the band released their second single, Gott schenk ihr Flügel ("God Give Her Wings"), on 17 March 2006. Their third single, Du und ich ("You and Me"), was released on 23 June 2006. All three of these singles made it into the German singles charts. 2006 also saw the band headline a tour for the first time.
The band recorded their fourth single, Sonnenschein ("Sunshine") with Vanessa Jean Dedmon, a semi-finalist from the third series of Deutschland sucht den Superstar (the German version of Pop Idol ). The song reached number 17 in the German charts.
Rapsoul's second album Achterbahn ("Rollercoaster") was released in 2007, from which the singles Erste Liebe ("First Love"), Laura, König der Welt ("King of the World") and Sterben für dich ("Die for You") were taken.

Bananarama are a British-Irish girl group formed in London in 1980. The group, originally a trio, consisted of friends Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward. Fahey left the group in 1988 and was replaced by Jacquie O'Sullivan until 1991, when the trio became a duo. Their success on both pop and dance charts saw them listed in the Guinness World Records for achieving the world's highest number of chart entries by an all-female group. Between 1982 and 2009, they had 30 singles reach the Top 50 of the UK Singles Chart.
Soft Cell are an English synth-pop duo who came to prominence in the early 1980s. The duo consists of vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist David Ball. The band are primarily known for their 1981 hit version of "Tainted Love" and their platinum-selling debut album Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret.
Black Eyed Peas are an American musical group consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo. The group's lineup during the height of their popularity in the 2000s featured Fergie, who replaced Kim Hill in 2002. Originally an alternative hip hop group, they subsequently refashioned themselves as a more marketable pop-rap act. Although the group was founded in Los Angeles in 1995, it was not until the release of their third album Elephunk in 2003 that they achieved high record sales.
Modern Talking was a German pop duo consisting of arranger, songwriter and producer Dieter Bohlen and singer Thomas Anders. They have been referred to as Germany's most successful pop duo, and have had a number of hit singles, reaching the top five in many countries. En Vogue is an American vocal girl group whose original lineup consisted of singers Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones. Formed in Oakland, California, in 1989, En Vogue reached No. 2 on the US Hot 100 with the single "Hold On", taken from their 1990 debut album Born to Sing. The group's 1992 follow-up album Funky Divas reached the top 10 in both the US and UK, and included their second US number two hit "My Lovin' " as well as the US top 10 hits "Giving Him Something He Can Feel" and "Free Your Mind".
Sarah Connor is a German pop singer. She rose to prominence after she signed with X-Cell Records in 2000 and released her debut album Green Eyed Soul (2001) the following year. She followed it with a series of successful albums, including Unbelievable (2002), Key to My Soul (2003), Naughty but Nice (2005), Christmas in My Heart (2005), Soulicious (2007), Sexy as Hell (2008) and Real Love (2010). Sade are an English band, formed in London in 1982 and named after their lead singer, Sade Adu. Three members, Paul Anthony Cooke, Stuart Mathewman, and Paul Spencer Denman, were originally from Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Its music features elements of soul, quiet storm, smooth jazz and sophisti-pop. All of the band's albums, including compilations and a live album, have charted in the US Top Ten.

Mint Condition is an American R&B band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band is focused on diverse genres such as jazz, hip hop, funk and dance. Mint Condition has also been nominated for one Grammy and three Soul Train Awards. The group is credited with being one of the last major funk bands to chart before hip-hop and new jack swing dominated black music in the 1990s.
soulDecision was a Canadian pop band active from 1993 to 2005. They are best known for the single, "Faded", which hit number-one in Canada in 2000, and "Ooh It's Kinda Crazy" which became a hit as well the following year in early 2001.
"You Got Me" is a song by American hip hop band The Roots, featuring vocals from Erykah Badu and Eve, then known as Eve of Destruction, who raps the second verse but does not appear in the music video. The track was released as a single from the band's fourth studio album, Things Fall Apart (1999), in January 1999.
"Stickwitu" is a song recorded by American girl group the Pussycat Dolls for their debut studio album PCD (2005). It was written by Franne Golde, Kasia Livingston and Robert Palmer and produced by Ron Fair. A pop ballad with soul influences, the song finds the group celebrating monogamous relationships, with music critics drawing comparisons to fellow girl groups Cover Girls, Sweet Sensation, and the Spice Girls. Vanessa Jean Dedmon is a German singer, best known as a semifinalist on Germany's third season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, being voted out by the audience in the Top 3 Show. She was one of the favorites of the jury.
dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip were a hip-hop duo, combining electronic beats with sung, spoken, and rapped lyrics. The pair are Daniel Stephens, and David Peter Meads (b.1981). The name "Scroobius Pip" is an intentional misspelling of the Edward Lear poem, The Scroobious Pip.
Karmin was an American pop duo consisting of Amy Renee Noonan and Nick Noonan. Starting as a novelty act that released covers on YouTube, they signed in 2011 with Epic Records. In May 2012, Karmin released their debut EP Hello, which spawned the singles "Brokenhearted" and "Hello", and received mixed reviews. Rolling Stone named Karmin's lead singer Amy as the winner of "Women Who Rock" 2012 contests. In March 2014, the duo released their debut album, Pulses. The album's lead single, "Acapella", charted in the top 10 in Australia and New Zealand, and went Gold in the United States. They left Epic Records in the middle of 2014 and have since released music independently. Their second album Leo Rising was released on September 9, 2016.
Kassengift is the seventh studio album by German pop duo Rosenstolz, released in 2000 by Polydor Records. The album was the first Rosenstolz album to reach No. 1 in the German albums chart and includes "Amo Vitam", a song sung entirely in Latin that reached the top 20 of the German singles chart.

With is the eighth Japanese studio album by South Korean pop duo Tohoshinki, released by Avex Trax on December 17, 2014. The record was released in four physical versions – Version A, a CD+DVD version with music videos and live performances; Version B, another CD+DVD version with off-shot movies; Version C, a CD only version with two bonus tracks; and Version D, a fan club limited edition with a CD-Extra. Recording and writing for the album roughly began in the summer of 2013. With is described to be an album composed of nostalgic dance-pop songs that are influenced by disco and jazz, accompanied by marching drumbeats. Its lyrical content explores the general concept of love and friendship.
Sqeezer, also Squeezer, was a German Eurodance and Pop duo formed in 1995 by Jim Reeves. Sqeezer was originally fronted by Reeves and Yvonne Spath. The group has sold more than 1 million records worldwide. All singles were represented more than ten million times. They are best known for their charting singles "Blue Jeans", "Sweet Kisses" and "Without You".
"Achterbahn" is a song by German recording artist Helene Fischer. It was written by Konstantin Scherer, Nico Santos, Vincent Stein, Wim Treuner, and Robin Haefs for her self-titled eighth studio album (2017), while production was helmed by trio Madizin, consisting of Patrick Benzner, Dave Roth, and Serhat Sakin, and Silverjam. Taking Fischer's music work further away from the schlager genre, the uplifting dance pop song is built around a synthesizer instrumentation and features slight Auto-Tune vocal effects. Lyrically, it details its narrator's feelings towards her lover which she compares with a roller coaster ride.
