Rarities (typeset as [Rarities] on the artwork) is the fourth album, and first compilation, by the Minneapolis punk rock band The Soviettes. It is a selection of the group's lesser-known material, including their early EPs. It was released free on the internet and also in vinyl LP format. [1]
A.V. Club reviewer Jack Spencer called the album "an excellent last hurrah," describing it as "quick bursts of spirited, guitar-driven rock, punctuated by 'woos'" and 'heys'." [2]

The Suicide Commandos are an American punk rock trio from Minneapolis. They formed in 1975 and released two 7-inch EPs on an indie label in 1976 and 1977 before signing with Blank Records in 1977 and releasing one album, Make a Record. Despite their short original 4-year stint together, the Suicide Commandos are considered the pioneers for jump-starting a punk rock music scene in the Twin Cities, which eventually produced bands like The Suburbs, Hüsker Dü, The Replacements and Soul Asylum.
Swingin' Utters is a Californian punk rock band that formed in the late 1980s. After U.S. and European tours supporting the release of 2003's "Dead Flowers, Bottles, Bluegrass and Bones", some band members concentrated on raising their new families. From 2003-2010, the band played frequently, though mostly limited to the west coast of the United States and Canada, taking a break from any longer, comprehensive touring or recordings. During this time, they released the "Live in a Dive" double live album on Fat Wreck Chords (2004), and "Hatest Grits", a b-sides and rarities compilation (2008). After a seven-year gap in the release of any new, original recordings, the band released the "Brand New Lungs" 3-song 7-inch ep in 2010, followed by the "Here, Under Protest" LP (2011), and have since released four more records, and have resumed touring internationally.

Fuel was a short-lived Bay Area post-hardcore musical act that created both personal and political songs, something that was unique during the "first wave" of emo in the 1990s. Fuel had a sound akin to the mostly East Coast bands on Dischord Records, especially Fugazi, with twin guitars and dueling rough post-hardcore vocals. In fact, it is noted that Fuel was often jokingly referred to as "Fuelgazi." Fuel's style resembled the D.C. sound of many Dischord bands.
Red Alert are аn English punk/oi!-band, formed in Sunderland, England, in May 1979. The group released five EPs and a studio album, and appeared on numerous compilations, including Punk And Disorderly and Carry On Oi!. Three of the band's releases reached the Top 30 in the UK Indie Chart. Red Alert broke up in 1984, reformed five years later and continued touring and recording.

All of the group's members went on to form other notable bands on the Minneapolis punk scene, including the Soviettes, The Awesome Snakes, France Has The Bomb, the Dummies, the Prostitutes, the Voltz, the Dynamiters, Die Electric! and Dirty Robbers. All of these bands, including International Robot, have been covered by City Pages, the local music weekly newspaper.

Manny is also an entrepreneur and business owner in the cannabis and CBD space. Pitchfork Media listed his music amongst their "Best MN Hip-Hop Releases". City Pages named his debut album Southside Looking In one of "The Best Minnesota Rap Albums of 2014". 89.3FM The Current awarded it their "Album of the Year" title XXL magazine also recently jokingly credited him with "getting Action Bronson and Ghostface to agree on one thing." after their recent altercations. The Mexican magazine Me Hace Ruido named him one of their "Artists to Follow".
Oeuvrevue is a rarities compilation album by Grant Hart, formerly of the bands Hüsker Dü and Nova Mob. It was released on 26 November 2010 by the German label Hazelwood.
