Raul Vijil (born September 12, 1982) is a former American football wide receiver for the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League. He played college football at Eastern Washington, and played for the Shock of af2 and the Arena Football League from 2006 to 2011.

Early life

Vijil attended Pasco High School in Pasco, Washington, where he was a member of the school's soccer team. [1] It wasn't until his senior year of high school that he joined the football team. Vijil helped the Bulldogs to a 14–0 record, en route to a 2000 State Championship. Vijil's 204 receiving yards still stand as a Washington state record for receiving yards in a state title game. [2]

College career

Vijil's senior season of high school football was outstanding enough to earn him a scholarship to Eastern Washington University as a member of the football team. [3]

Professional career

As soon as Vijil graduated, he was recruited by Chris Siegfried to play for the expansion Spokane Shock of the af2. [4] He recorded 421 career receptions for 4,952 yards and 131 touchdowns during his career with the Shock from 2006 to 2011. He rejoined the Shock in 2013 as a public figure and representative for the team before retiring in 2015. [5] His jersey number 15 was retired by the Shock in May 2015. [4]

The team was initially a member of arenafootball2 (af2), the Shock won division titles in all four seasons and ArenaCups in 2006 and 2009 before they joined the Arena Football League (AFL) in its 2010 relaunch. The team advanced to the playoffs three times after joining the AFL, winning ArenaBowl XXIII in their first season, making them the only arena football franchise to win both the ArenaCup and the ArenaBowl.

Pasco High School is a 9-12 public high school in Pasco, Washington. It was the only High School in Pasco until 2009 when Chiawana High School, in West Pasco opened its doors.

Erik Meyer American gridiron football player (born 1982)

Erik Meyer is a former professional American football quarterback. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Eastern Washington. He was also a member of the Cologne Centurions, Seattle Seahawks. Oakland Raiders, Utah Blaze, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Spokane Shock, San Jose SaberCats and Washington Valor.

The 2007 Spokane Shock season continued the team's Cinderella story from 2006, which saw the Shock go 17-2 and become the first expansion team in af2 history. Of course, the ultimate goal in 2007 was to make it back to the ArenaCup Championship Game.

The 2006 AF2 season was the seventh season of the AF2, the Arena Football League's minor league. It was preceded by 2005 and succeeded by 2007. The league champions were the Spokane Shock who capped off an impressive inaugural season with a win over the Green Bay Blizzard in ArenaCup VII.

Virgil Carl Gray is an arena football defensive back who is a free agent. He played college football for the University of Rhode Island.

Tremayne Sy Kirkland is a former gridiron football wide receiver. He played college football at Portland State. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Spokane Shock, then of af2 in 2008. He's also played for the South Georgia Wildcats, Tri-Cities Fever and Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

Daniel Aaron Southwick is an American football quarterback who is currently a member of the Jacksonville Sharks. He played college football at Brigham Young University, Dixie State College, Oregon State University, the University of Utah and Occidental.

Nick Davila is an arena football quarterback who is currently a free agent. A three-time AFL champion, and three-time MVP, he also played for the Arizona Rattlers from 2010 to 2016. Davila is of Mexican American descent. He is nicknamed the "Latin Laser". In 2017, he was the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Rattlers of the Indoor Football League (IFL), who went on to win the 2017 United Bowl.

The 2010 Spokane Shock season was the fifth season for the franchise, and the first in the current incarnation of the Arena Football League, coming from the AF2, which dissolved following the 2009 season. The team is coached by Rob Keefe and played their home games at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Edward "Charles" Dillon Jr. is a former American professional football player. Charles Dillon was raised in Ventura, California and learned to play football at an early age. He honed his talents on the Hueneme High School football team in Oxnard, California. During his teen years, Charles Dillon was a star in football, track, and basketball though his heart was most in the latter. Charles Dillon was a varsity letter winner four years on the football team despite playing a wide variety of positions. Due to his athleticism, Charles Dillon was a first-team All Pacific View League pick in 2003. He was specifically selected for his wide receiver skills that season after totaling over 700 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Dillon played his college career at Ventura College for his freshman and sophomore year, before transferring to Washington State University for junior and senior years.

Taylor Rowan is an American football placekicker who is currently a free agent. He has also played in the AF2 with the Arkansas Twisters, and played with the United Football League's New York Sentinels.

Brian Zbydniewski American football player

Brian David Zbydniewski is a former professional American football quarterback. Zbydniewski played college football at Belhaven University after attending prep school at Choctawhatchee High School located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. During his collegiate career, Zbydniewski set numerous single-game, season, and career passing record.

Andrew Olson is an arena football coach and former wide receiver. He was previously the head coach for the Spokane Shock and Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League (AFL). He played his college football at the Western Washington University, and was an af2 wide receiver from 2008 to 2009. He has been a football coach since 2011. After being the offensive coordinator for the Spokane Shock in 2011, he became the Shock head coach in 2012.

Kamar Isaias Jorden is a Canadian football wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Bowling Green. He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He has also played for the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League.

Arvell Nelson American football quarterback (born 1988)

Arvell Nelson is an American football quarterback. He was signed by the Alabama Hammers as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played college football at University of Iowa, before transferring to Fort Scott Community College and Texas Southern University.

Andrico Hines is a former American football quarterback who played three seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Cleveland Gladiators and Pittsburgh Power. He first enrolled at Middle Georgia College before transferring to Southwest Mississippi Community College and then Middle Tennessee State University. He attended Riverdale High School in Riverdale, Georgia. Hines was also a member of the South Georgia Wildcats, Chattahoochee Valley Vipers, Spokane Shock, Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings and Alabama Vipers.

Tavares Martin Jr. is an American football wide receiver for the Spokane Shock in the Indoor Football League. He played college football at Washington State.
