Early life

Pleasant attended West Monroe High School located in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Tulane Green Wave. [1] [2]

College career

As a freshman in 2023, Pleasant appeared in nine games where he notched five tackles. [3] In the 2024 season opener, he returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in a 52-0 win over Southeastern Louisiana, [4] earning American Athletic Conference defensive player of the week honors. [5] In week 4, Pleasant notched a 94-yard kickoff return touchdown in a win over Louisiana. [6] In week 6, he returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in a 71-20 win over UAB, where for his performance he was named the American Athletic special teams player of the week. [7]

Petitbon first attended Loyola University New Orleans on a track and field scholarship and left after his freshman year to play college football for the Tulane Green Wave. After playing as a quarterback at Tulane, he played as a safety for the Chicago Bears from 1959 to 1968, Los Angeles Rams in 1969 and 1970, and Washington Redskins in 1971 and 1972. Petitbon recorded the second most interceptions in Bears history with 37 during his career, trailing Gary Fencik. Petitbon also holds the Bears' record for the longest interception return, after scoring on a 101-yard return against the Rams in 1962. Jerry Lane Stovall , nicknamed "Mr. Everything", is an American former football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. He played college football for the LSU Tigers, where he was a unanimous selection to the 1962 College Football All-America Team as a halfback. Stovall played professionally as a safety and punter in the National Football League (NFL) with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1963 to 1971. Stovall served as the head football coach at his alma mater, LSU, from 1980 to 1983, compiling a record of 22–21–2 in four seasons and leading the 1982 team to an appearance in the 1983 Orange Bowl. He was the athletic director at Louisiana Tech University from 1990 to 1993. He is the only player in LSU history to be named a unanimous All-American (1962), be selected to the college football hall of fame (2010), be selected as a first round pick (1963), and to be selected to the pro bowl.

The 2013 Tulane Green Wave football team represented Tulane University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by second year head coach Curtis Johnson and played home games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. They were a member of Conference USA in the West Division. This was the Green Wave's last season playing in the Superdome and Conference USA as they will open the new, on-campus Yulman Stadium in the fall of 2014, and move to the American Athletic Conference in July 2014. They finished the season 7–6, 5–3 in C-USA play to finish in fourth place in the West Division. They were invited to the New Orleans Bowl where they lost to Louisiana–Lafayette.

The 2013 New Orleans Bowl was an American college football bowl game that was played on December 21, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The thirteenth edition of the New Orleans Bowl, it featured the Tulane Green Wave of Conference USA against the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference. The game began at 8:00 p.m. CST and aired on ESPN. It was one of the 2013–14 bowl games that concluded the 2013 FBS football season. Sponsored by freight shipping company R+L Carriers, the game was officially known as the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The Ragin' Cajuns defeated the Green Wave by a score of 24–21.
