Aaron Dupree Tippin is an American country music singer, songwriter and record producer. Initially a songwriter for Acuff-Rose Music, he gained a recording contract with RCA Nashville in 1990. His debut single, "You've Got to Stand for Something" became a popular anthem for American soldiers fighting in the Gulf War and helped to establish him as a neotraditionalist country act with songs that catered primarily to the American working class. Under RCA's tenure, he recorded five studio albums and a Greatest Hits package. Tippin switched to Lyric Street Records in 1998, where he recorded four more studio albums, counting a compilation of Christmas music. After leaving Lyric Street in 2006, he founded a personal label known as Nippit Records, on which he issued the compilation album Now & Then. A concept album, In Overdrive, was released in 2009.
Paint the Town is the third studio album by American country music band Highway 101. The last of their albums featuring Paulette Carlson as lead vocalist, it included the Billboard Country #1 "Who's Lonely Now," the #4 "Walkin', Talkin', Cryin', Barely Beatin' Broken Heart," and the #11 "This Side of Goodbye." Also included on the album is a cover of James Taylor's "Sweet Baby James". "Rough and Tumble Heart" was later recorded by Pam Tillis on her 1992 album Homeward Looking Angel.
Steers & Stripes is the seventh studio album by American country music duo Brooks & Dunn. It was released in April 2001 via Arista Nashville. The album produced five singles on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, of which the first three reached number one. "Ain't Nothing 'bout You", the first single, became the duo's biggest hit, not only spending six weeks at the top of the country chart, but also reaching No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was also declared by Billboard as the number-one country song of 2001. Following it were "Only in America" and "The Long Goodbye". The last two singles were the No. 5 "My Heart Is Lost to You" and the No. 12 "Every River".

People Like Us is the seventh studio album by American country music artist Aaron Tippin, released on July 25, 2000 by Lyric Street Records. His second album for the Lyric Street label, it features his third and final number one single on the country charts, "Kiss This". Also released from this album were the title track and "Always Was". Tippin's wife, Thea, co-wrote "Kiss This" and "The Best Love We Ever Made", and sang duet vocals on the latter as well as adding the "See Ya!" line at the end of "Kiss This".
A December to Remember is a Christmas album released by country music artist Aaron Tippin. The album is his first Christmas album, and it includes a mix of original songs and covers. Tippin's rendition of "Jingle Bell Rock" charted on the Hot Country Songs charts in late 2001.
