Rebecca Leslie is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for PWHL Ottawa of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
Across four seasons at Boston University, Leslie scored 171 points in 139 games, and captained the team in her final year. [1] In 2018, she signed her first professional contract with the Calgary Inferno of the CWHL, [2] with whom she won the Clarkson Cup, and was a finalist for rookie of the year. [3] After the CWHL folded, she announced she would join the newly-formed PWHPA.
Leslie was drafted in the 12th round of the 2023 PWHL Draft by PWHL Toronto. [4] She signed a one-year contract with Toronto in November 2023. [5] In 24 games with Toronto, she scored two goals and nine points. Entering the 2024–25 season, she signed a one-year contract with PWHL Ottawa. [6]
In 2014, Leslie put up 5 points in 5 games for the Canadian team that won the gold medal in the U18 IIHF Women's World Juniors. [7] In 2019, she made her first senior appearance for Team Canada in the Rivalry Series. [8]
Her brother Zac Leslie also plays hockey professionally. Most of his career has been in the AHL. [9] [10]

The Clarkson Cup is an ice hockey trophy awarded to Canada's national women's champions. Commissioned by former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson, the trophy was first unveiled in July 2006 when Clarkson ceremoniously presented it to the Canadian national women's team. Owing to a rights dispute with the artists who designed the trophy, it was not officially awarded until 2009, when it became, as intended, the award for top women's club team. From 2012 to 2019, it was exclusively awarded to the winner of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). In Canada, it has been considered the women's equivalent of the Stanley Cup.
The Canadian Women's Hockey League was a women's ice hockey league. Established in 2007 as a Canadian women's senior league in the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal, and Ottawa, the league expanded into Alberta (2011) and internationally in the United States (2010) and China (2017) throughout its tenure. The league discontinued operations on May 1, 2019, after 12 seasons.
