Redstar Wu & The Worldwide Scourge (stylised in all caps) is the upcoming third studio album by Australian rapper Genesis Owusu. It will be released via Ourness on 15 May 2026, preceded by three singles including "Pirate Radio" and "Death Cult Zombie". The artist says the album was written in response to the chaotic world around him.
Upon the album's announcement, Genesis Owusu explained: "I started writing this album because I was seeing so much of the world and watching what was happening." [2] Press material calls the writing a "piercing reflection on the political, social and economic flames engulfing many parts of contemporary society." [1] The music is set to blend neo soul with alt pop, synth-punk, deep funk and Brit rock stylings. [1]
The album's lead single, "Pirate Radio", issued on 12 September 2025, was the artist's first new song in two years. [3] Although not officially released, "Most Normal American Voter:" had been playable in the Skate video game since September 2025. [4]
Two more singles followed: "Death Cult Zombie" on 31 October 2025, [5] and "Stampede" on 20 February 2026, [6] before the album's title, cover artwork and track listing was officially announced on 18 March 2026. [2]
