The University of Regina is a public research university located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1911 as a private denominational high school of the Methodist Church of Canada, it began an association with the University of Saskatchewan as a junior college in 1925, and was disaffiliated by the Church and fully ceded to the University in 1934; in 1961 it attained degree-granting status as the Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan. It became an autonomous university in 1974. The University of Regina has an enrolment of over 15,000 full and part-time students. The university's student newspaper, The Carillon, is a member of CUP.
Jean Vanier was a Canadian Catholic philosopher and theologian. In 1964, he founded L'Arche, an international federation of communities spread over 37 countries for people with developmental disabilities and those who assist them. In 1971, he co-founded Faith and Light with Marie-Hélène Mathieu, which also works for people with developmental disabilities, their families, and friends in over 80 countries. He continued to live as a member of the original L'Arche community in Trosly-Breuil, France, until his death.
Melville is a small city in the east-central portion of Saskatchewan, Canada. The city is 145 kilometres (90 mi) northeast of the provincial capital of Regina and 45 kilometres (28 mi) southwest of Yorkton. Melville is bordered by the rural municipalities of Cana No. 214 and Stanley No. 215. Its population at the 2016 census was 4,562, making it Saskatchewan's smallest city. It is also home of hockey's Melville Millionaires, who compete in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, and baseball's Melville Millionaires, who compete in the Western Canadian Baseball League.
Fransaskois or Franco-Saskatchewanians are French Canadians or Canadian francophones living in the province of Saskatchewan. According to the 2016 Canadian Census, approximately 17,735 residents of the province stated that French was their mother tongue. In the same census, 125,810 Saskatchewanians claimed full or partial French ancestry. There are several Fransaskois communities in the Saskatchewan, although the majority of francophones in Saskatchewan reside in the province's three largest cities, Saskatoon, Regina, and Prince Albert.

Trent Wotherspoon is a Canadian politician and former interim leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP). He was elected to represent the electoral district of Regina Rosemont in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2007 election, and was re-elected in the 2011 election, and 2016 election. Wotherspoon was a candidate for the party's leadership in 2013. In 2016, the NDP caucus elected Wotherspoon to serve as Leader of the Opposition following the defeat of Cam Broten in the 2016 provincial election and the party's provincial council elected him interim leader.
Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School is a Catholic secondary school located in the Hillsdale neighbourhood of south Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is a part of Regina Catholic Schools. Opened February 1, 1976, it replaced the nearby girls' and boys' separate schools. It was named after Dr. Martin LeBoldus, former provincial coroner and longtime trustee of the Regina Catholic school system. The school serves students from most of the neighbourhoods in the central, south and east communities of Regina. It also offers a dual track French immersion program.
St. Joseph High School is a high school in Saskatoon, Canada, a part of the University Heights Suburban Centre. St. Joseph High School is part of the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School division. Opened in 1995, it currently has approximately 1000 students. It celebrates 25 years in 2019.
Scott Moe is a Canadian politician serving as the 15th and current premier of Saskatchewan since February 2, 2018. He is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the riding of Rosthern-Shellbrook, first elected in 2011. He served in the Saskatchewan Party cabinet from 2014–2017 under the premiership of Brad Wall, twice as Minister of Environment and also as Minister of Advanced Education. In January 2018 he was chosen to succeed Wall as leader of the Saskatchewan Party.
Warren Steinley is a Canadian politician, who was elected Member of Parliament for the riding of Regina—Lewvan in the 2019 Canadian federal election. He represents the riding of Regina—Lewvan in the House of Commons as a Member of the Conservative Party.
Charles Aimé Halpin was the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada from 12 December 1973 until his death.
Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF) is a school board in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It is headquartered on the grounds of École Monseigneur de Laval Pavillon secondaire des Quatre Vents in Regina.
Lloydminster Catholic School Division (LCSD) or Lloydminster R.C.S.S.D. No. 89 is a Catholic school division serving approximately 2,800 students in Lloydminster, SK/AB and surrounding area. Lloydminster Catholic School Division operates four elementary schools for grades K-7, one high school for grades 8-12 and one early childhood education center. It is currently the city's sole provider of single-track French Immersion education from grades K-12 through École St. Thomas Elementary School and Holy Rosary High School.
