The University of Regina is a public research university located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1911 as a private denominational high school of the Methodist Church of Canada, it began an association with the University of Saskatchewan as a junior college in 1925, and was disaffiliated by the Church and fully ceded to the university in 1934; in 1961 it attained degree-granting status as the Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan. It became an autonomous university in 1974. The University of Regina has an enrolment of over 15,000 full and part-time students. The university's student newspaper, The Carillon, is a member of CUP.
Melville is a small city in the east-central portion of Saskatchewan, Canada. The city is 145 kilometres (90 mi) northeast of the provincial capital of Regina and 45 kilometres (28 mi) southwest of Yorkton. Melville is bordered by the rural municipalities of Cana No. 214 and Stanley No. 215. Its population at the 2016 census was 4,562, making it Saskatchewan's smallest city. It is also home of hockey's Melville Millionaires, who compete in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, and baseball's Melville Millionaires, who competed in the Western Canadian Baseball League until 2019.

Elmer Roland "Rollie" Miles was a professional football player for the Canadian Football League Edmonton Eskimos. Miles played offence, defence, and special teams, during his eleven-year career with the Eskimos. Miles is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame, and the Edmonton Eskimos Wall of Honour. In November 2006, Miles was voted one of the CFL's Top 50 players (#48) of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.
Campbell Collegiate is a public high school located in the Whitmore Park area of south Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. A part of Regina Public Schools, it has been operated since 1963 and currently has the largest student population among high schools in Regina.
Bishop James Mahoney High School (BJM) is a high school serving grades 9 to 12, located in the Lawson Heights neighbourhood in the north end of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is also known as Bishop Mahoney High School. It is the only Catholic high school in the north end of Saskatoon, serving the Silverwood Heights, Lawson Heights, River Heights, Richmond Heights, and North Park neighbourhoods. It is operated by Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools.

Paul Woldu is a former professional Canadian football cornerback. He was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the fifth round of the 2008 CFL Draft where he spent four years with the team. He played CIS football for the Saskatchewan Huskies football team.
Balfour Collegiate is a public high school in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, named after the city's former mayor, James Balfour. A part of Regina Public Schools, it officially opened on September 2, 1930. It is located in the Core Group neighbourhood of central Regina. Originally a technical school, Balfour was given official collegiate status in 1984 due to the closure of nearby Central Collegiate Institute.

Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School is a Catholic high school located in the Core Group neighbourhood in the central area of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was the first high school built by the Regina Catholic school system. It is named after Joseph P. Miller who was a longtime member of the school board.

Mark Lee McMorris is a Canadian professional snowboarder who specializes in slopestyle and big air events. A three-time Olympic bronze medallist, he placed third in each of the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2018 Winter Olympics, and 2022 Winter Olympics in the slopestyle event. While filming for Transworld Snowboarding's "Park Sessions" video in March 2011, Mark became the first person to land a Backside Triple Cork 1440. More recently, on April 28, 2018, Mark landed the world's first Double Cork off a rail, the Front-Board Double Cork 1170, with a melancholy grab. Mark has also left his mark at X-Games and other events. In 2012 and 2013, Mark won back-to-back gold medals in Winter X Games in the slopestyle event. In 2023 he defended his Winter X Games gold medal in the men's slopestyle to set a record for the most Winter X Games medals with 22.
