Four years later the three-time European Junior Champion won the bronze medal with the men's 4×200 m freestyle relay. Keller was named German Swimmer of the Year for two consecutive years: 1994 and 1995.

She competed in the women's 800-meter freestyle, and finished fourth with a time of 8:26.97 in the event final. In the women's 400-meter freestyle, she swam in the preliminary heats and recorded the tenth-best overall time of 4:09.83.

Renāte Lāce was a Latvian track and field athlete. She won the gold medal at the 1963 Summer Universiade in the 100 metres event, and has got several other medals at Universiade. Lāce competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics – 4th place in the 4 x 100 metres relay.
