The Party! Party! Party! Party was a short-lived joke political party in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Its candidates—Amanda Call and Shane McMillan—ran only in the 1989 election for the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly, receiving a total of 979 votes. It was created as a joke since the creators did not believe in self-government when it became legal in ACT.

The incumbent Labor Party, led by Rosemary Follett, was challenged by the Liberal Party, led by Trevor Kaine. Candidates were elected to fill seats using a modified D'Hondt method for a multi-member single constituency. The result was another hung parliament. However, Labor, with the largest representation in the 17-member unicameral Assembly, formed Government with the support of Michael Moore and Helen Szuty. Follett was elected Chief Minister at the first sitting of the second Assembly on 27 March 1992.

The Australian Capital Territory Government, also referred to as the ACT Government, is the executive authority of the Australian Capital Territory, one of the territories of Australia. The leader of the party or coalition with the confidence of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly forms Government. Unlike the Australian States and the Northern Territory, the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly directly elects one of their number to be the Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory as the head of the Government, rather than being appointed by a Governor or Administrator.

Mick Gentleman Australian politician

Michael David Gentleman is an Australian politician and is a member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly representing the electorate of Brindabella for the Labor Party. He was first elected to the assembly in 2004, but lost his seat in the 2008 election. He was re-elected to the assembly at the 2012 election. In July 2014, Mick Gentleman was elected by the Labor Caucus as the sixth Minister for the ACT and has portfolio responsibilities for Planning, Community Services, Ageing, Children & Young People, Workplace Safety and Industrial Relations.

Shane Stephen Rattenbury, Australian politician and former Speaker of the ACT Legislative Assembly, is a member of the multi-member unicameral Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly representing the electorate of Molonglo for the ACT Greens since 2008. Bill Wood is an Australian politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland and later the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly. He was defeated in 1974 by Country Party candidate Martin Tenni.

Chris Steel is an Australian politician.
