The Revista Chilena de Historia del Derecho is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering legal history that is published by the University of Chile. It was established in 1959 and its subject matter are legal affairs which have become history; [1] the editor-in-chief is Felipe Vicencio Eyzaguirre (University of Chile).
The Revista's first editor was Alamiro de Ávila. [2] The predecessor to the Revista is the Boletín de Derecho Público, a specialist legal journal created by Aníbal Bascuñán Valdés, who taught history of law at the university from 1931. [3] As of 2012, the Revista was the second oldest then-currently published Chilean law journal. [4] In 2014, Claudio Barahona Gallardo wrote that the Revista was now "the oldest journal of its type in Hispanic America." [5]
In May 1960, Lewis Hanke reviewed on The Hispanic American Historical Review the very first issue of the Revista Chilena de Historia del Derecho, and pronounced it "A valuable new review in a relatively undeveloped field." [6] Prestige-wise, Antonio Dougnac Rodríguez in 2021 qualified it as the predecessor of Revista de Estudios Histórico-Jurídicos, founded in 1976. [7]
Cueca is a family of musical styles and associated dances from Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia. In Chile, the cueca holds the status of national dance, where it was officially declared as such by the Pinochet dictatorship on September 18, 1979.

Dr. Rafael Molina Morillo was a lawyer, journalist, diplomat, and newspaper editor from the Dominican Republic. He created Ahora! Publications which published El Nacional newspaper and Ahora! magazine. He also was editor of Listín Diario newspaper and El Dia, a free newspaper in the Dominican Republic.
Hispanidad is a Spanish term describing a shared cultural, linguistic, or political identity among speakers of the Spanish language or members of the Hispanic diaspora. The term can have various, different implications and meanings depending on the regional, socio-political, or cultural context in which it is used.

Antonio Acevedo Hernández was a Chilean writer. Hernández was a self-taught novelist, playwright and writer whose works include theater, novels, short stories, literary and journalistic chronicles, essays, poetry and popular Chilean folklore. He created over 840 works, including the plays Almas perdidas,El Vino triste,La Sangre, and El Rancho. He was awarded the Premio Nacional de Teatro in 1936. His work, along with that of authors like Germán Luco Cruchaga and Armando Moock, marked the beginnings of Chilean dramaturgy.
Modesto Seara Vázquez was a Spanish-born Mexican jurist and academic. He lived in several countries but has spent most of his life in Mexico. He has actively participated in Mexican life as a professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and since 1988 as the Rector of the Oaxaca State University System in the State of Oaxaca. He died in Mexico City on 26 December 2022, at the age of 91.
Pedro Pablo Caro Rodríguez was a Chilean lawyer. After obtaining the degree of law and political sciences from the University of Chile, he worked as an independent lawyer in Rancagua, and served as acting judges in several communes and departments in Chile, including San Carlos, Curicó, Nacimiento, among others. He was also a secretary and treasurer of the municipality of Buin. Caro Rodríguez was member of the Conservative Party of Chile, and later of the Christian Democrat Party of Chile.
Memoria Chilena is a Chilean cultural website which, according to its own words, "offers investigations and documents related to key topics which make up the Chilean identity, accessible through the areas of history, literature, social sciences, music, and visual arts." Memoria Chilena is, also, a virtual library, which preserves material from the Biblioteca Nacional de Chile and other institutions from the Dirección de Bibliotecas, Archivos y Museos (DIBAM).
Francisco Elías de Tejada y Spínola Gómez was a Spanish scholar and a Carlist politician. He is considered one of top intellectuals of the Francoist era, though not necessarily of Francoism. As theorist of law he represented the school known as iusnaturalismo, as historian of political ideas he focused mostly on Hispanidad, and as theorist of politics he pursued a Traditionalist approach. As a Carlist he remained an ideologue rather than a political protagonist.
Centro de Estudios Públicos (CEP) is a non-profit Chilean think tank founded in 1980. Its stated mission is to “contribute to the development of a free and democratic society” through: 1) the analysis and dissemination of philosophical, political, social and economic problems of interest to Chilean society; 2) the study, discussion and design of public policies; and 3) the promotion of institutions that support and enable the existence of a constitutional and democratic order. CEP contributes to the public debate through its seminars, the policy brief Puntos de Referencia, the journal, Estudios Públicos which has appeared continuously since 1980, the publication of books and various research studies, as well as social surveys, which have been conducted since 1987. CEP has become a household name for political, academic, and intellectual debate.
María Julieta Kirkwood Bañados was a Chilean sociologist, political scientist, university professor and feminist activist. She is considered one of the founders and impellers of the Chilean feminist movement in the 1980s. She is considered the forerunner of Gender studies in Chile.
Juan (Jean) Brèthes, also known as Frère Judulien Marie or Juan Brethes was an Argentine scientist, naturalist, entomologist, ornithologist, zoologist and geologist. He was the first entomologist of the National Museum, today known as the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences. He was a close collaborator of Florentino Ameghino, and translated several of his works into French. Thanks to his intense activity, he systematized a large number of Latin American insect species. He was a precursor in the fight against agricultural pests at a time when insecticides had not been developed to combat them.
José Antonio Kast Rist, also known by his initials JAK, is a Chilean lawyer and politician. Kast ran for president in 2021, winning the first round and losing in the second round run-off to Gabriel Boric.
Santiago Muñoz Machado is a Spanish jurist and academic, director of the Royal Spanish Academy and the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language since 10 January 2019. As a jurist, he specialized in administrative and constitutional rights. He is also a member of the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences and editor of the Diccionario del español jurídico and the Diccionario panhispánico del español jurídico.

Fundamental figure of Chilean music, or "Figura fundamental de la música chilena", is an award presented annually by the Sociedad Chilena de Autores e Intérpretes Musicales (SCD), recognizing Chilean artists who have had important influence and legacy in the country's musical history. The selection is made by the organization's board of directors.

He is known for developing the principle-law-procedure of the best interests of the student and the criminological theory of piety, is also a law activist for university student.
Camila Anastasia Gallardo Montalva, known as Cami, is a Chilean singer and songwriter. She started her career after appearing in the Chilean vocal talent show The Voice Chile, where she came second place. She has released two studio albums and has received a Grammy Award nomination as well as two Latin Grammy Award nominations.
