Rich Gordon is now married to Stanford physician Dennis McShane, his partner since 1982. McShane is one of the founders of a national organization for gay doctors called the American Association of Physicians for Human Rights, now known as the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association. The couple was married in the state of California in August 2008, just before the passage of Proposition 8 in November 2008, which prohibited gay marriage. The law was ultimately ruled unconstitutional in 2010, and the court decision took effect in 2013. [2]

He had previously been a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and had mounted an unsuccessful bid for mayor of San Francisco in 1999. He was succeeded as California's Assemblyman for District 17 by San Francisco Board of Supervisors President David Chiu on December 1, 2014.

Robert Dale Dutton was an American politician of the Republican Party. After serving two years as a State Assemblyman for the 63rd district, from 2002 to 2004, Dutton served as a State Senator representing the 31st district from 2004 to 2012, and was the state senate's minority leader from 2010 to 2012. He made an unsuccessful run for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012. She represented the 22nd Assembly District that includes the cities of Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino and portions of Santa Clara and San Jose which are all located in Santa Clara County. In February 2022, Assemblywoman Lieber was endorsed by the California State Democratic Party for Board Member of the California State Board of Equalization, District 2. She won the seat in the California general election held on November 8, 2022.

Jeffrey Frederick Gorell, a Republican politician from California, is currently a member of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, having been elected to the County Board, 2nd District, in 2022. In 2010, Gorell was elected to the State Legislature to serve as Assembly Member for the 37th Assembly District in California, representing most of Ventura County. After the decennial redistricting in 2011, Gorell was re-elected to represent the new 44th Assembly District and served as Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Budget Committee. In 2014, Gorell was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 26th congressional district. Gorell is also the former Deputy Mayor of the City of Los Angeles for Homeland Security and Public Safety. Gorell, a Navy Reserve officer, is notable for being the first California legislator called to active duty since World War II. During his deployment, fourteen bills were sponsored in his name.

Kristin Olsen is an American business owner and politician. She served on the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors from 2017 to 2021. From 2010 to 2016 she served in the California State Assembly representing the 12th district and serving as the Assembly Minority Leader. Prior to being elected to the State Assembly, she was a member of the Modesto City Council. Olsen is a Republican and lives in Riverbank.
