Born in Prescot, [1] Birchall played for Newton-le-Willows, St Helens Town, Bradford City, Carlisle United, Hyde, Norwich City, Rochdale, Lincoln City, Worksop Town, Rotherham Town and Mexborough Town. [2]

George Henry Robinson was an English professional footballer who played as a half back for Nottingham Forest and Bradford City.
Leonard George William Boot was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Huddersfield Town, Fulham, Bradford City and Nottingham Forest.
