Bradbury was an unsuccessful candidate for the 2010 Oregon gubernatorial election. In 2010,he was appointed to the Northwest Power and Conservation Council by Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski.

She was elected to serve out the remainder of his gubernatorial term in the special election in 2016 and was reelected to a full term in 2018.
