Richard Murray (born 4 January 1989, in Cape Town) is a Dutch/South African triathlete.

Murray won the Junior ITU Duathlon World Championships in 2007 and 2008, entered the adult Tri in 2009, [1] and was the Under-23 African champion in both triathlon and duathlon in 2010, and was the elite African triathlon champion in 2011 and 2012. He scored his first win in the ITU World Triathlon Series in Hamburg in 2012. [2]

At the 2012 Summer Olympics men's triathlon on Tuesday, 7 August, he placed 17th. [3]

In 2014-2015, he was part of ECS Triathlon, an elite club based in Sartrouville, France. [4] At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won a silver medal in the mixed team relay and a bronze in the men's triathlon. [5]

He won the Gran Final of the World Triathlon Series (WTS) in Chicago in 2015.[ citation needed ]

He won the ITU Duathlon World Championships in Asturias (Spain) in 2016.[ citation needed ]

He was disqualified from the World Series race in Hamburg for unsportsmanlike conduct in July 2016. [6]

At the 2016 Summer Olympics men's triathlon on Thursday, 18 August, he placed 4th. [7]

2012 season

Murray took his first professional ITU World Triathlon Series win at the Dextro Energy World Triathlon Hamburg, contested over the Sprint distance.

2013 season

Murray took his sole win of the season with a gold at the Cape Town ITU Sprint Triathlon African Cup.

2014 season

Murray took his sole win of the season with a gold at the Cape Town ATU Sprint Triathlon African Cup.

2015 season

Murray took gold in two ITU World Cup races this season at New Plymouth and Cozumel, and took the win at the ITU WTS Edmonton race

2016 season

Murray followed up his win in 2015 with a repeat win at New Plymouth in the 2016 season. Later the same year he became ITU Duathlon World Champion with a win at Aviles.

2017 season

Murray repeated the wins of previous seasons taking gold at New Plymouth and Cape Town in those ITU World Cup races, with New Plymouth being his third win in a row.

2018 season

Murray took his first win of the year at Cape Town Triathlon World Cup, followed by a win at Mooloolaba Triathlon World Cup, and a third win of the year at the ITU WTS Leeds on 10 June 2018.

Non Rhiannydd Stanford is a British former professional triathlete, representing Great Britain and Wales at international level. The World Triathlon Championship Series is World Triathlon's annual series of triathlon events used to crown an annual world champion since 2008. There are multiple rounds of competitions culminating in a Grand Final race. Athletes compete head-to-head for points in these races that will determine the overall World Triathlon champion. The elite championship races are held, with one exception, over two distances, the standard or 'Olympic' distance and the sprint distance. Katie Zaferes is an American professional triathlete from Hampstead, Maryland. She earned a silver and bronze medal for the United States in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic triathlon held in 2021. She is also the 2019 ITU World Triathlon Series women's champion. She has placed second overall in the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Series and third in the 2017 ITU World Triathlon Series. Zaferes won both the 2018 and 2019 Super League Triathlon Championship Series. She finished in 3rd position in the series in 2021.

The 2019 ITU World Triathlon Series was the 11th season of the World Triathlon Series, the top level international series for triathlon, since its establishment in 2009. Thomas Bishop is a British triathlete. He has represented England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and finished in 7th place in the 2017 ITU World Triathlon Series overall standings. Originally from Derby, Bishop graduated from the University of Leeds and is now based in the city, training at the Leeds Triathlon Centre. He was part of the British mixed relay team that won gold at the 2016 Lisbon ETU European Championships and has achieved a number of podiums on both the international and European triathlon circuits, including silver at the ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi 2017.

Bence Bicsák is a Hungarian professional triathlete. He is a member of the Hungarian 2020 Olympic Triathlon team. He competed in the men's individual event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Summer Games. He placed 7th out of 51 Olympians that started the race.
