Richland County School District One (abbreviated RCSD One or "Richland One"), is a school district with its headquarters in the Stevenson Administration Building in Columbia, South Carolina. [1]
RCSD One is South Carolina's fifth-largest school district, and serves a population of more than 22,939 students from urban, suburban and rural communities in Columbia. Richland One covers 482 square miles (1,250 km2), operates 52 schools and employs 4,229 staff. [2] It is centrally located about 1.5 hours away from the beaches and the mountains of South Carolina.

It is one of the fastest growing districts in South Carolina, with a current student population above 28,000. It operates 40 schools and centers, two district child development programs, two alternative schools, an adult/community center and several magnet centers and programs at all grade levels. The district offices are in an unincorporated area.
School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties is a South Carolina school district encompassing a land area of approximately 196 square miles, (508 km2) roughly half of which is situated in each of Lexington and Richland Counties. Memphis City Schools (MCS) was the school district operating public schools in the city of Memphis, Tennessee, United States. It was headquartered in the Frances E. Coe Administration Building. On March 8, 2011, residents voted to disband the city school district, effectively merging it with the Shelby County School District. The merger took effect July 1, 2013. After much legal maneuvering, all six incorporated municipalities created separate school districts in 2014. Total enrollment, as of the 2010-2011 school year, was about 103,000 students, which made the district the largest in Tennessee.
