Burlington is a city in the Regional Municipality of Halton at the west end of Lake Ontario in Ontario, Canada. Located approximately halfway between Toronto and Niagara Falls, it is part of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and Hamilton metropolitan census area.

Michael Colle is a Canadian politician who has been as a deputy mayor of Toronto since 2023, representing North York. He was elected to represent Ward 8 Eglinton—Lawrence on Toronto City Council in the 2018 election. Colle served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1995 to 2018 and was a Cabinet minister during Premier Dalton McGuinty's tenure. Jeffrey Robert Lehman is a Canadian politician and economist who is currently serving as Chair of the District of Muskoka since 2022. He had previously served as the 46th mayor of Barrie from 2010 to 2022. He was also the chair of Ontario's Big City Mayor's organization, consisting of the mayors of Ontario's 29 largest cities.
Marianne Meed Ward is an American-born Canadian politician and former journalist who has served as the 29th and current mayor of Burlington since December 3, 2018.

Ausma Malik is a Canadian politician who serves as the deputy mayor of Toronto representing Toronto and East York. Malik was elected to represent Ward 10 Spadina—Fort York on Toronto City Council in the 2022 election. She was appointed as statutory (first) deputy mayor in 2023.
