The Book of Us: Negentropy – Chaos Swallowed Up in Love, often shortened to The Book of Us: Negentropy, is the seventh extended play by South Korean band Day6. It was released by JYP Entertainment on April 19, 2021, and serves as the fifth and final installment of the group's three-year Book of Us series. It is Day6's first release as a whole group since The Book of Us: The Demon (2020), and marks the return of members Sungjin and Jae following their hiatus from the group. The album contains seven tracks co-written by several members of the band and produced by Hong Ji-sang, member Sungjin, and NUPLAY.

"Day by Day" is a remake song recorded by South Korean singer and Red Velvet member Joy. Originally recorded and released by female duo As One in 1999, the song was re-recorded and was released on May 31, 2021, by SM Entertainment as a track from her special remake album, Hello. Composed by Shim Sang-won and written by Yoon Sa-rah, it is an emotional medium tempo R&B ballad song. The track is about expressing courage little by little to people who have been by her side for a long time. The song debuted at position 108 on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and charted at position 99 on the Billboard K-Pop 100.

Day6 (Even of Day), also known as Even of Day, is the first sub-unit of the band Day6 based in South Korea, consisting of Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon. Formed by JYP Entertainment, they debuted on August 31, 2020, with their first EP The Book of Us: Gluon.
