Rikke Lind (born 27 June 1968) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party.
She was born in Oslo as a daughter of an independent businessperson. She finished her secondary education at Nesodden in 1988 and graduated as a teacher from Oslo University College in 1995. She became involved in politics in the 1980s, as a board member of the Workers' Youth League in Nesodden from 1986 to 1987. She chaired the county branch from 1988 to 1989, and was also a political secretary in the Workers' Youth League nationwide before becoming office manager in the organization from 1989 to 1992. [1]
She has been a board member of Norges Gymnasiastsamband from 1987 to 1988, later deputy chair of the county school board from 1992 to 1996 and county transport board from 1996 to 1999. She was a member of the executive committee in Akershus county council from 1991 to 1999, and a deputy member of Nesodden municipal council from 1995 to 2003. She was a national board member of the Labour Party from 1994 to 1996, and worked as a political adviser for their parliamentary group from 1997 to 1999. She served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Akershus during the term 1997–2001. In November 2000, regular representative Anneliese Dørum died and was replaced by Lind for the remainder of the term. [1]
She was an adviser in the Norwegian Electricity Industry Association from 2001 to 2002, then worked in the Norwegian Shipowners' Association for a year before being managing director in the Maritime Forum of Norway from 2003 to 2007. From 2007 to 2012 Lind served as a State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry as a part of Stoltenberg's Second Cabinet. [1] In 2012 she became secretary-general in the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue. [2]
Lind chaired Stor-Oslo lokaltrafikk from 1996 to 2000 and was a board member of the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund from 2006 to 2007. [1]
The Workers' Youth League is Norway's largest political youth organization and is affiliated with the Norwegian Labour Party.
Turid Birkeland was a Norwegian cultural executive and former politician for the Labour Party. She was Minister of Culture in 1996–97. She was an author and also worked in television, including being chief of cultural programming at NRK and a member of the board at Telenor. She also headed the Risør Chamber Music Festival, and was the director of Concerts Norway.
Tove Astri Strand is a Norwegian director and former politician for the Labour Party. She was active in politics between 1963 and 1992, including two periods as a government minister. She headed the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation from 1997 to 2005, and since 2005 she is the director of Ullevål University Hospital.
Kari Gjesteby is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She has never been a member of the Norwegian Parliament, but has been State Secretary for three tenures, as well as Minister of Trade and Shipping from February to October 1981 and Minister of Justice and the Police from 1990 to 1992. After her political career she has been a director in the Bank of Norway, director of the National Library of Norway and the Norwegian Library of Talking Books and Braille and, from 2009 to 2013, the first female State Conciliator of Norway.
Anniken Scharning Huitfeldt is a Norwegian historian and politician for the Labour Party. She has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2021. She previously served as Minister of Children and Equality from 2008 to 2009, Minister of Culture from 2009 to 2012 and Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion from 2012 to 2013.
Kurt Mosbakk is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was Minister of Trade and Shipping from 1986 to 1987, when the ministry was closed; he continued on as the Minister of Trade and Shipping Affairs at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs until June 1988. He served as the acting County Governor of Finnmark county for about five months during 1990.

Beret Bråten is a Norwegian sociologist, political scientist and Labour Party politician. She was deputy leader of the Labour Party's youth wing, the Workers' Youth League (1992–1994), and was a political adviser in the Prime Minister's Office and a close confidant of prime minister Thorbjørn Jagland during his tenure from 1996 to 1997. From 2020 she is vice president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights. Bråten holds a PhD in political science and is a senior researcher at the Fafo Foundation and an associate professor at the University of Oslo.
