John Robert Krampf (born 1956) is an American former science educator and convicted sex offender. He studied geology at the University of Tennessee and worked at the Pink Palace Museum and Planetarium until 1987, when he began touring the United States with a one-man show he called "Mr. Electricity". [1] [2] [3] A lifelong fascination with science, combined with a desire to teach has led Krampf on adventures ranging from excavating dinosaur bones in Wyoming to watching whales off the coast of Mexico.
In 2006, Krampf adopted the moniker "The Happy Scientist" and began to post educational entertainment content targeted towards children online, with videos depicting various science projects and experiments. [4] [5] [6]
In September 2020, Krampf was arrested for possession of child pornography, [7] as part of a sting operation that led to eleven others arrested as well. [8] He pled guilty in March 2021, and was sentenced to 4 years in prison. [9]

An expert in martial arts, Mr. Shah was arrested in May 2005 at the age of 42 in New York City, accused and eventually charged with providing aid for terrorist activity based on evidence from an FBI sting. He initially pled not guilty to all charges. After 31 months of solitary confinement, he was convinced a fair trial was unlikely given the Islamophobia following 9-11. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Amanda Michelle Todd was a 15-year-old Canadian student and victim of cyberbullying who hanged herself at her home in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. A month before her death, Todd posted a video on YouTube in which she used a series of flashcards to tell her experience of being blackmailed into exposing her breasts via webcam on the livestreaming and online chat service Blogger, and of being bullied and physically assaulted. The video went viral after her death, resulting in international media attention. The original video has had more than 15 million views as of May 2023, although mirrored copies of the video had received tens of millions of additional views shortly after her death; additionally, a YouTube video by React has a video of teens reacting to Todd's video which has garnered 44.7 million views as of May 2023, and various videos from news agencies around the world regarding the case have registered countless millions more. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and British Columbia Coroners Service launched investigations into the suicide.
Benjamin Ruvin Levin is a Canadian former civil servant, educational scholar, and convicted sex offender. He was a Canada Research Chair in Education Leadership and Policy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. He served for three years in the Ontario Liberal provincial government of Dalton McGuinty, as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Education, after having held a similar post in Manitoba. He also served as an advisor to Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne.

Project Spade, an international police investigation into child pornography, began in October 2010 in Toronto, Canada. The investigation started when Toronto Police Service officers made on-line contact with a man who was alleged to have been sharing pornographic videos via the Internet and by mail. The investigation eventually covered over 50 countries. 348 people were arrested internationally, and 386 children were said to have been rescued. The primary producers were Igor Rusanov and Andrey Ivanov in Crimea, Ukraine, Markus Roth in Romania, and Paul Kruger in Germany.

Childs Play [sic] was a website on the darknet featuring child sexual abuse material that operated from April 2016 to September 2017, which at its peak was the largest of its class. The site was concealed by being run as a hidden service on the Tor network. After running the site for the first six months, owner Benjamin Faulkner of North Bay, Ontario, Canada, was captured by the United States Department of Homeland Security. For the remaining eleven months the website was owned and operated by the Australian Queensland Police Service's Task Force Argos, as part of Operation Artemis.
GirlsDoPorn was an American pornographic website active from 2009 until 2020. In October and November 2019, six people involved with the website were charged on counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion. In December 2019, two more individuals were charged with obstruction of sex trafficking enforcement. The website was removed in January 2020 after 22 victims won the civil case against the company. According to the United States Department of Justice, the website and its sister website GirlsDoToys generated over $17 million in revenue. Videos were featured on GirlsDoPorn.com as well as pornography aggregate websites such as Pornhub, where the channel reached the top 20 most viewed, with approximately 680 million views.

Described as antisemitic and racist by various advocacy groups and the United States Department of Justice, he frequently broadcasts himself on the internet cosplaying as various contemporary popular culture personas. In June 2021, Miller pleaded guilty to charges related to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, leading to a 41-month-long imprisonment. He is known to have cosplayed as the Joker, the Riddler, Mario, and others while video chatting with strangers on the now defunct website Omegle. He is known for his advocacy for a race war, espousing white supremacy and neo-Nazism. He has been tied to multiple alt-right and far-right organizations, including the Proud Boys and the Boogaloo movement.

The Welcome to Video case involved the investigation and prosecution of a child pornography ring which traded videos through the South Korean website Welcome to Video, owned and operated by Son Jung-woo. Authorities estimated about 360,000 downloads had been made through the website, which had roughly 1.2 million members, 4,000 of which were paid members, from 38 countries. Through international cooperation and investigations, 337 people were arrested on charges of possessing child pornography.
Jason Edward Wayne Dickens, better known as Byrd Dickens, is a Canadian former actor, cameraman, and convicted sex offender, who was known for his role as Scott Smith, an abusive boyfriend, on Degrassi High from the late 1980s to early 1990s. Dickens also did minor acting roles and camera and electrical work for various films and television productions. In 2016, Dickens was arrested and charged after committing acts of filming child pornography, possessing child pornography, child molestation, and acts of bestiality with three other women.
The abuse of Kylie Freeman was a case of child sexual abuse perpetrated, recorded, and distributed by the victim's father, Kenneth Freeman.
In 2006, he started creating videos to post online in addition to his real-life educational shows, according to Krampf's website.
