Turks in Denmark, also referred to as Turkish Danes or Danish Turks refers to ethnic Turkish people living in Denmark. They currently form the largest ethnic minority group in the country; thus, the Turks are the second largest ethnic group in Denmark, after the ethnic Danish people. The majority of Danish Turks descend from the Republic of Turkey; however, there has also been significant Turkish migration from other post-Ottoman countries including ethnic Turkish communities which have come to Denmark from the Balkans, the island of Cyprus, and more recently Iraq and Syria.

Robinson Ekspeditionen is a popular Danish reality television program debuting in 1998. In the spring of 1998 TV3 purchased the broadcast rights to air their own version of Expedition Robinson. Following the success of the Swedish version, Denmark was the first country to adopt their own version of the show. The show has proven to be a ratings success since its premiere in 1998.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2003 was the sixth season of the Danish versions of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 1, 2003 and aired until December 1, 2003. This season was the last to be hosted by the original host of the show, Thomas Mygind. The first twist this season was that two players were to be eliminated on the first day. The first contestant to be eliminated was Lajla Wöhliche Wammen, who was the last person to reach the cage. The second elimination occurred when Anette Kure became the first person to leave the cage. Along with this, this season each team had a chief. The person who was chief was immune at all tribal councils, however, if someone challenged the chief to a duel and the chief lost they would be eliminated and their challenger would become the new chief. A tribal swap in episode 4, saw the creation of new teams as well as the entrance of jokers Ditte Happel and Marinela Malisic into the game. The major twist season was that of "Utopia". When a contestant was eliminated instead of being eliminated, they were sent to Utopia to compete in a duel that would take place when the final three had been decided. When the final three had been decided, twelve eliminated players faced off in a duel in which half were eliminated. The remaining six were then cut down to three when the final three were asked to each select one that they'd like to see return to the game. Those three then competed against the finalists in plank to determine if any of them would return to the game. Ultimately, Hans Helgren won and returned to the game. Another twist was that of the four jokers, David Camacho, Ditte Happel, Mogens Eckert, and Marinela Malisic, who all entered the game at different times during the season. Ultimately, it was Frank Quistgaard who won the season over Rie Pedersen and Marinela Malisic with a jury vote of 7–0–0.

Robinson Ekspeditionen: 2002, was the fifth season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. It premiered on 2 September 2002 and aired until 2 December 2002. As it was initially thought to be the final season of Robinson Ekspeditionen, it was an "Allstar" version of the show. Twenty-one former contestants from past seasons were chosen to compete in this season. The first twist this season came in episode one when two players from each tribe were exiled away from the game. Whilst these players were exiled, the non-exiled players were led to believe that they had been eliminated from the game. Along with those who were initially exiled, Lasse Rungholm, Lone Hattesen, and Mette Legaard were also sent into exile in episodes one, three, and four, respectively. In episode 5, all contestants that had been exiled competed in a challenge to determine who would return to the game. As Pia Rosholm lost this challenge, she was eliminated from the game. When it came down to the final three, the public was awarded the right to eliminate one contestant; they chose to eliminate Jørgen Kløcker. Ultimately, it was Henrik Ørum who won the season over Lone Hattesen with a 9–6 jury vote.

Robinson Ekspeditionen: 2000, was the third season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on 3 September 2000 and aired until 3 December 2000. The early part of the season saw the North team's domination of challenges and the formation of an alliance in both teams. The first of these alliances was South team's "C Team" alliance, which was composed of the younger members of the tribe, Birger Jensen, Christina Vilsøe, Frank Markussen, and Signe Ilkjær. This alliance was quickly broken up when in episode 3 Christina was injured and her fellow tribe members were forced to vote her out and when Signe betrayed her fellow alliance members by voting with Brigitte Hoff and Jens Jensen to eliminate Birger. The other, more successful alliance, formed early on in the North team. This alliance, composed of Kim Møller-Nielsen, Lærke Bregenhøj, Pia Rosholm, and Sonny Petersen created a voting block that would prove powerful throughout the season. Two episodes(episode 9 to be specific) after the teams initially merged, there was a vote to decide which of the eliminated contestants would return to the game. Christina won the vote and entered the game, but was soon voted out once again. The North team alliance having eventually picked off all merge members outside of their alliance composed the final four, with members Pia and Sonny eventually making up the final two. The jury this season was composed of the last eight players eliminated with the public awarding five jury votes as well. Ultimately, it was Sonny Petersen who won the season over Pia Rosholm with a jury vote of 8-5. Sonny was revealed to have received two of the three public jury votes as well as Anton, Brigitte, Christina, Ebbe, Frank, and Signe's votes.

Robinson Ekspeditionen: 2001, was the fourth season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on 10 September 2001 and aired until 3 December 2001. A new thing in the show was the Talisman could now be traded for an extra vote, instead of being used for immunity. The first part of the season saw the South team's domination of challenges which led to the first ever tribal swap in the Danish version of the show. When it came time for a merge, three jokers were added to the game. Due to two exits by Ramin Zomorodnia and Lars "Mars" Johansen, Johnny Holm was allowed to return to the game shortly after his initial elimination. Ultimately, it was Marlene Hasselblad from the minority North team who won the season with a jury vote of 10-5 over Lars Lang. The initial vote was 7-2, but with the male and female audience votes being taken into effect six more votes were split among the finalists.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2004, was the seventh season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on August 30, 2004, and aired until December 1, 2004. This season was the first to be hosted by the show's current host, Jakob Kjeldbjerg. This season began with a series of twist, the first being that two contestants would be eliminated through a challenge on day one. Pia "Bonnet" Trussel lost the challenge and chose Karabi Bergman to be eliminated with her. Following the initial elimination it was revealed to the teams that within both of the teams were two people who were related to each other; on the North team these two were Duddie and Mass Staack, a mother and son and on the South team these two were Jens and Stine Wedel, a married couple. Along with this, this season saw the show's first ever pregnant contestant, Natasja Hansen. Shortly before the merge, a tribal swap occurred that saw Brian Rosenkilde and Tine Petterssen switching tribes. When it came time for the final four competition all of the eliminated contestants competed to earn a spot in the final four. The winner of the fourth and final spot was Bjarke Møller, who initially was eliminated in a duel against Morten Fredericia. Ultimately, it was Mette Frandsen who won the season over Tine Petterssen and Duddie Staack by a jury vote of 3-3-2 after having answered a question correctly to break the tie.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2005 was the eighth season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 5, 2005 and aired until November 28, 2005. This season was the first season to ditch the traditional North verses South team format in favor for one based on the locations of the contestants residences. The two teams for the season were København (Copenhagen) and Jylland (Jutland). The twists this season began in the first episode when immediately after the contestants arrived the teams were forced to compete in their first immunity challenge. Immediately following the immunity challenge, the losing team was asked to vote someone out and Poul Hansen found himself eliminated within an hour of it starting. The next twist came shortly after Poul's elimination. In a twist that would last til the merge, it was revealed that every few days one person from each team would face off in a duel against a player from the opposing team. The winner of said duel would win a spot in the merge and the power to vote to pardon any eliminated player immediately following their elimination at tribal council, while the loser would be eliminated. This series of five contestant duels and one team duel would ultimately determine who would make the merge. All players who made the merge, with the exception of Ivan who had immunity during the final team duel and Lykke who was pardoned by the winners after initially being voted out, had won a duel. Another twist came at the first tribal council when it was revealed that the contestants we each be given a certain number of votes that they could use throughout the season, but whenever they used up all of said votes they would not be given any more. In episode three, two jokers, Jesper Lodberg and Morten Aunsborg, were added to the game and unlike in previous seasons, they were allowed to pick which tribe they would compete on in episode four. Aside from all of these twists, it was revealed that contestant Nis Staak was the son of Duddie Staack and the brother of Mass Staack from the previous season. Eventually, it was Mogens Brandstrup who won the season over Lykke Maigatter and Solveig Zabell in a final challenge.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2006 was the ninth season of the Danish versions of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 4, 2006 and aired until November 21, 2006. The main twist this season was that every contestant was a well-known athlete in a sport. Along with this twist, this season contestants would not be eliminated by the result of tribal council voting, but by the result of duels between two contestants from the same tribe. This means that this season following the vote at tribal council, the voted-out player would pick one of their fellow tribe member to face off with in a duel to determine which would stay in the game. Once the two tribes merged, the twist of "Utopia" returned to the game. In Utopia all eliminated players would compete in a series of duels in order to earn a spot in the final four. Nicole Sydbøge won the final duel and returned to the game. In a final twist, there was no jury this season; instead in order to keep with the athletic theme of the season the final four competed in a series of challenges in order to determine a winner. In the end, it was Diego Tur who won the season over Denise Dupont after winning the final challenge.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2007 was the tenth season of the Robinson Ekspeditionen, the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 17, 2007 and aired until December 3, 2007. The main twist this season was that every contestant was either an alumnus of previous seasons or of the reality show Paradise Hotel. There weren't any other major twists this season until episode 5 when both Mars Johansen and Michelle Strøyer were voted out together in the sixth tribal council. Following the vote, the two faced off in a duel in order to determine who would return to the game. Mars won the duel and returned to the game. In episode 6, the Robinson team lost the immunity challenge and faced a double elimination at tribal council. Ivan Larsen and Malene Hasselblad were voted out of the tribe. The next twist occurred in episode 7, just before the merge, when each tribe had to vote out two members. In another twist, in episode 9, Malene Hasselblad, who had been voted out in episode 6, returned to the game. Ultimately, it was Rikke Gøransson from Paradise Hotel 2007 who won the season over former Robinson winner Malene Hasselblad and Paradise Hotel 2007 alumni Kenneth Eber by winning the final challenge.

Robinson Ekspeditionen: 1999, was the second season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on 11 September 1999 and aired until 3 December 1999. This season was the first to feature added twist to the game. Dan Martstrand went on to win the season with a 7–2 jury vote over Peer Stakroge becoming the first joker ever to win a season of Expedition Robinson in the world.

Robinson Ekspeditionen: 1998, was the first series of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, first shown on 11 September 1998 and broadcast until 3 December 1998. The series is remembered for the all-girl alliance that took place following the second merge vote. Ultimately, it was Regina Pedersen who won over Karine Winther with an unknown jury vote. Contestants Gitte Schnell, Kathleen Kai-Sørensen and Jens Romundstad went on to become prominent television personalities in Denmark.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2011 was the fourteenth season of the Danish version of the Swedish television series Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 5, 2011. The first twist this season was that the tribe that lost the first immunity challenge was to be forced to live on the desolate side of the island while the winning tribe lived on a side of the island that had many luxuries and comforts. The only thing separating the two tribes was a wall. The losing tribe was also forced to take part in a large elimination in which half of the tribe will be eliminated from the game. Among the contestants this season will be siblings Karina Andersen and Maria Bruun, who'll be on the same tribe but will keep their relationship a secret from the other contestants. As another twist, this year there was no "Utopia", instead eliminated contestants may be sent to "Guardian Island". On the island eliminated contestants will be forced to battle three guardians of a golden skull for a spot on the island. In episode 2 the two cousins, Hugo and Morten Kleister, entered the game as jokers and joined the recently cut-in-half North team. In episode 3, another joker, Mie Deichmann Jørgensen, also joined the North team, thought shortly after she was voted out of the game. In the same episode another joker, Daniel Broner Jensen, entered the game as a member of the South team, though he too was voted out shortly after due to his poor relationship with some of the other South team members. In episode 6, the remaining contestants were asked if they wanted to switch tribes. While only Louise Valbjørn opted to do this, her move proved to be both strategic and game changing as she was able to successfully throw the immunity challenge to her old tribe and convince members of her new tribe to vote out Nima Alijana Hassanlouei. In episode 7, four more jokers, Kit Ruprecht, Marlene Thinggaard, Nicolai Barden, and Zabrina Kondrup, entered the game. Zabrina was well known for her participation in the previous season of Robinson. In episode 8, the guards protecting the golden skull were told that they had to "curse" a contestant. Said contestant would be given a mission to complete and if they failed they would automatically be eliminated from the competition. They chose Brigitte who ultimately passed her mission and was allowed to eliminate two of her fellow competitors. The final three contestants, Marlene Thinggaard and Hugo and Morten Kleister, took part in a final challenge which would determine the winner. Ultimately, Hugo Kleister beat out his cousin Morten and Marlene Thinggaard to win the grand prize of 250,000 Danish krones. At the end of the season, the three final guardians, all of whom had a key to the cage of the skull, took possession of the skull and with it half of the 500,000 krones prize to split among the four of them. This, however, would not have been true should the guardians have failed their final duel against Hugo, the actual winner of the season. Per faced Hugo in the final duel and won the 250,000 Danish krones for himself and fellow Guardians Patricia Beck, Tommy Kristensen, and Zabrina Kondrup.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2017 was the nineteenth season of the Danish version of Swedish television series Expedition Robinson. The season premiered on August 28, 2017. The main twist this season is that the two tribes are divided based by age. The North Team consisting of the oldest contestants, and the South Team consists of the youngest. In addition, the East Team consists of five former Robinson contestants who return for a second chance to have a chance to become this year's Robinson unbeknownst to the others. A returning feature this season is the duel. However, in this season, the winner of the duel has their tribe exempt from participating in the immunity challenge and therefore, safe from tribal council. The loser of the duel is sent home and has to have their tribe compete in the immunity challenge against the tribe that finished second.

This is a list of Danish television related events from 1998.

As punishment for losing the first challenge the Jokerne tribe was forced to live in a swamp. A returning feature this season is the duel.
