Season 1 (2006)

The show's first season was filmed on a deserted island in the Caribbean off the coast of the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2006 by an international Bulgarian-Argentine team. It was hosted by the famous actor Kamen Vodenicharov. It started on 20 September 2006 and ended on 11 December 2006. 16 Bulgarians took part in the first season. The prize was 250,000 leva. The first winner in Survivor BG was Neli Ivanova.

Season 2 (2007)

Season 2 was aired on bTV from 24 September 2007 with a special live event airing on 19 September in which 22 contestants took part. This season had a brand new host, Vladimir Karamazov.

Season 3 (2008)

The premiere of season 3 was on 24 September 2008 on bTV. The actor Vladimir Karamazov continued as host.

Season 4 (2009)

Season 4 was filmed during May, June and July 2009 in the Philippines. The premiere of season 4 was on 22 September 2009 on bTV. The hosts consisted of Evtim Mioshev until the 22nd day, which then after switched to Vladimir Karamazov.

For the first time in the Survivor franchise across the world as a whole, a contestant died — Noncho Vodenicharov died of a heart attack during filming. [1]

Season 5 (2014)

Cast for the new season, entitled "Survivor Cambodia: Fans vs Favorites", was to November 15, 2013. The premiere of season 5 was on 15 September 2014. [2]

After a 7-year hiatus on April 15, 2021, it was announced that Survivor would return with a new season in 2022. [3] The premiere of season 6 was on 21 February 2022

Music Idol was the Bulgarian version of the British television hit show Pop Idol. It was a talent contest to determine the superior pop performer. Its first season was aired on bTV from February 26 until June 7, 2007. During its third season, the show went international and auditions took place in neighboring Macedonia. Other major changes in the third season: minimum age for participants 13, more talk show than music, great accent on the hosts, hidden vote results, which makes it impossible to validate the result of each elimination.

<i>Velikite Balgari</i> Bulgarian television show

Velikite Balgari was the Bulgarian spin-off of the 2002 program 100 Greatest Britons produced by the BBC. Aired on the Bulgarian National Television's Kanal 1, its first stage began on 9 June 2006 and finished on 10 December, with a show on 23 December announcing the names of the Top 100 as chosen by popular vote. The Top 10 were announced in alphabetical order. In the second stage, which lasted until 17 February 2007, the viewers determined the order in the Top 10. Documentaries dedicated to every Top 10 personality were aired during the second stage.

Survivor BG: Conquering Asia - Philippines was the fourth season of the Bulgarian reality television series Survivor BG. The season had 24 contestants competing against each other in the Philippines where they competed for rewards and immunity to avoid being eliminated themselves. After 52 days, the jury decided Georgi Kehayov to win 250,000 leva and the title of Sole Survivor.

Bulgaria competed at the 2015 European Games, in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12 to 28 June 2015.

The 1950 Bulgarian Cup final was the 10th final of the Bulgarian Cup. It was contested by Levski Sofia and CSKA Sofia. It took three matches at People's Army Stadium to determine a winner. The first took place on 26 November, the second on 27 November and the third on 3 December 1950. The cup was won by Levski Sofia. They won the 2nd replay 1–0 after extra time.

Stolen Life is a Bulgarian medical drama series that airs on NOVA, created by Evtim Miloshev directed by Zornitsa Sofia and Peter Valchanov and produced by Alexander Hristov, Evtim Miloshev, Gabriel Georgiev and Ivan Spassov. Participating actors are Stoyan Alexiev, Maria Kavardjikova, Alexander Alexiev, Ianina Kasheva, Ioana Bukovska-Davidova, Emil Markov, Radina Dumanyan, Dimo Alexiev, Vasil Banov, Martina Vachkova, Milena Jivkova and others.
