Rodney Wylie OBE (C) is an accountant and Queensland corporate figure, who over the last 50 years has held the position of either company director or chairman of several Queensland companies, including national and international organisations. Some of these include Peat Marwick Mitchell, the Institute of Chartered Accountants, QUF Industries Ltd (later Pauls Ltd); Theiss Pty Ltd; Leightons; Queensland AMP Society; Queensland Alumina Ltd; Markwell Fisheries Pty Ltd; Australian United Foods; Pioneer Sugar Mills Ltd; the Bank of Queensland; and several not-for-profit groups. He held leadership positions such as inaugural Chairman of the Queensland Competition Authority; Chairman of the Brisbane Cricket Ground Trust; Queensland Enterprise Group; the Red Shield Appeal; Institute of Company Directors and President of the Institute of Public Affairs (Queensland). [1]

In 1988 Rodney was awarded the Order of the British Empire - Officer (Civil) for his contributions to the accountancy profession. [5]

In 2017 Rodney Wylie was inducted into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame. [6]

Rod is the father of businessman John Wylie. [7]

Sir Manuel Richard Hornibrook OBE was an Australian builder and civil engineer. He founded the firm M R Hornibrook Pty Ltd that after merger with Baulderstone became one of the largest Australian civil engineering firms. Known as "MR", Hornibrook was knighted in 1960. He was highly respected and a builder of bridges across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Papua New Guinea as well as other major projects including Stages 2 and 3 of the Sydney Opera House.

Eagers Automotive is an automotive retail group in Australia and New Zealand. Starting as A P Eagers Automotive Limited, it has a history of more than 100 years. The company name changed to Eagers Automotive Limited from A.P. Eagers Limited in 2020 following its acquisition of the Automotive Holdings Group. The business owns and operates a wide range of motor vehicle dealerships across Australia and New Zealand.
