The Byrds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1964. The band underwent multiple lineup changes throughout its existence, with frontman Roger McGuinn remaining the sole consistent member. Although their time as one of the most popular groups in the world only lasted for a short period in the mid-1960s, the Byrds are considered by critics to be among the most influential rock acts of their era. Their signature blend of clear harmony singing and McGuinn's jangly 12-string Rickenbacker guitar was "absorbed into the vocabulary of rock" and has continued to be influential.
William Mervin Mills, also known by his Oglala Lakota name Tamakhóčhe Theȟíla, is an American Oglala Lakota former track and field athlete who won a gold medal in the 10,000 metre run (6.2 mi) at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. His 1964 victory is considered one of the greatest Olympic upsets because he was a virtual unknown going into the event. He was the first non-European to win the Olympic event and remains the only winner from the Americas. He was also a United States Marine officer.

She also ran in the preliminary rounds in the 2000 Olympics 4 x 100 meters relay in Sydney, this would later get her the gold medal as the Bahamian team won in the final.

He is a multiple-time Austrian champion, a four-time national record holder, and a current member of Perger Swimming Club in Perg. He also won a bronze medal, as a member of the Austrian swimming team, at the 2008 European Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Christian Scherübl is an Austrian swimmer, who specialized in long-distance and relay freestyle events. Within a 16-year and younger age group, Scherubl set an Austrian record time of 4:05.20 in the boys' 400 m freestyle at the 2010 Geneva Long Course International Meet in Geneva, Switzerland. Scherubl is also a member of the swimming team for ATUS Graz, and is coached and trained by Christoph Schreiner.
