Rolandas Verkys (born 17 March 1966 [1] ) is a retired Lithuanian high jumper, who won four national titles for Lithuania in the men's high jump event.

He finished seventh at the 1992 European Indoor Championships in Genoa with a jump of 2,26 metres. [2]

His personal best jump was 2.34 metres, achieved in June 1991 in Warszawa. This is the current Lithuanian record. [3] The result ranked him third among European high jumpers that season, behind Dalton Grant and Sorin Matei. [4]

Conway previously served as the Assistant Director of Diversity, Leadership, & Education for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team under head coach Billy Napier. Conway was the top-ranked high jumper in the U.S. seven straight years from 1988–94 and in the world for two of those years. Conway, John Thomas and Dwight Stones are the only Americans to win two Olympic medals in the high jump.

László Szalma is a retired Hungarian long jumper. He won six medals at the European Indoor Championships—two gold, three silver and one bronze—and finished fourth at the 1980 Olympic Games and the 1983 World Championships. His career best jump of 8.30 metres, achieved in July 1985 in Budapest, is the current Hungarian record.

Gyula Pálóczi was a Hungarian athlete who specialized in the long jump and triple jump. He won two medals at the European Indoor Championships, and due to his versatility the European Athletic Association has called him "the most successful jumper Hungary has ever produced".

Andrew Howe Italian athlete

Andrew Howe is an Italian athlete who specializes in the long jump. He won this event as well as the 200 metres at the 2004 World Junior Championships. He was successful at senior level at a young age, winning a long jump bronze at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships before becoming the European Champion later that year. In 2007 he became the European Indoor Champion and won the silver medal at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics.

Teddy Tamgho is a French triple jumper and long jumper. He specialises in the triple jump. He is the current triple jump world indoor record holder at 17.92 m, achieved in winning the final and gold medal at the 2011 European Indoor Championships. He is the world's sixth best ever triple jumper outdoors, with his best mark of 18.04 metres achieved in winning the final and gold medal at the 2013 World Championships.

Roland McGhee is an American former long jumper. His personal record mark of 8.51 m ranks him in the all-time top 25 for the event, as of 2016. He was twice a national champion, winning outdoors and indoors in 1998. He represented his country at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics and 1999 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Also a sprinter, he was a bronze medallist in the relay at the 1994 IAAF World Cup.
