Ronnie "Machine Gun" Green (born April 1, 1959) is a retired British professional kickboxer who is a former four-time world champion. [2] [3]

Biography

Green became a world champion in kickboxing and was the first British person to do so. [4] Green also won titles in four different weight divisions. [5] Green was raised in Manchester and first began training in martial arts in 1974, taking up judo and karate. Green began his training with Thohsaphon "Master Toddy" Sitiwatjana at his Deansgate gym in Manchester, England, in 1977. [6] [7] [5] After wins in the Netherlands and France, Green became the first Brit to win a kickboxing match in Thailand by defeating Lamnak Pitiporn at Rajadamnern Stadium in March 1983. [8] Green won the European Muay Thai title in by defeating Yasunori Suda in July 1983 and the World WKA Super Featherweight title in 1984 by defeating Joao Vieira in Amsterdam. Green fought Sombat Sor Thanikul to a draw in 1990 in London, an event that was one of the first kickboxing championships broadcast from the UK to Thailand. In a rematch ten months later, he defeated Thanikul. [3] He formally retired from fighting in 2002. He won the World Kickboxing Association (WKA) light middleweight and super welterweight full contact titles. [2] [9]

Dennis Raymond Alexio is an American former professional kickboxer and actor who competed in the light heavyweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. Starting out as a light heavyweight, Alexio kicked off his career with an extensive, knockout-laden undefeated streak before losing a decision to Don "The Dragon" Wilson in a World Kickboxing Association (WKA) World Super Light Heavyweight Full Contact Championship match in 1984. He rebounded from this by winning the Professional Karate Association (PKA) World Light Heavyweight title that same year before moving up to cruiserweight and taking the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) World Cruiserweight Full Contact strap. Dale Cook is an American former kickboxer who competed in the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions. With a background in karate and taekwondo, Cook debuted professionally in 1977 and spent the early part of his career as a full contact rules fighter. In the 1980s, he began fighting under Oriental and Muay Thai rules and took two world titles under the WKA banner. A short stint in shoot boxing towards the end of his career in the mid-1990s resulted in another world title in that discipline.

Jomhod "King of the Ring" Kiatadisak is a professional Muay Thai fighter from Phang Nga province in the South of Thailand. He started learning muay Thai at the age of 7 and won his first fight when he was 11 years old. In 1986, Jomhod won the Southern Thailand Championship in 59.6 kg weight category and the same year, at the age of 16, he moved to Bangkok and began his proper fighting career.

Thohsaphol Sitiwatjana is a Thai martial artist and Muay Thai instructor. He is known as Master Toddy because after moving to the UK, people were unable to pronounce his name correctly. Thohsaphon has been a Muay Thai instructor since the age of 16 and has trained over 40 world champions over 5 decades. He has also featured in several movies and produced his own television shows.

John Wayne "The Gunslinger" Parr, also known as JWP, is a retired Australian Muay Thai fighter, kickboxer and boxer, fighting out of Boonchu Gym in Gold Coast, Queensland. He is a former 10-times World Champion and was the runner up on The Contender Asia.

Besim Kabashi was a Kosovar-German kickboxer who competed in the light heavyweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. He began his training in Germany after emigrating from Kosovo and initially competed as a -79 kg/174 lb fighter before moving up through the weight classes until eventually reaching heavyweight.
