Uru: Ages Beyond Myst is an adventure video game developed by Cyan Worlds and published by Ubisoft. Released in 2003, the title is the fourth game in the Myst canon. Departing from previous games of the franchise, Uru takes place in the modern era and allows players to customize their onscreen avatars. Players use their avatars to explore the abandoned city of an ancient race known as the D'ni, uncover story clues and solve puzzles.
A Ghost Is Born is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Wilco. Released on June 22, 2004, it features singer Jeff Tweedy on lead guitar more than any previous Wilco album. The band streamed the album online free, and offered a five-song EP to purchasers.
The Black Mages were a Japanese instrumental rock band formed in 2002 by Nobuo Uematsu, Kenichiro Fukui and Tsuyoshi Sekito, who were three video game composers for Square and Square Enix. The band arranged Uematsu's Final Fantasy video game series-based compositions in a hard rock style often similar to progressive metal, achieved with the additional use of synthesizers. A year later the band expanded to six members with the addition of Keiji Kawamori, Michio Okamiya and Arata Hanyuda. In August 2010, Uematsu announced the band had been disbanded, but he would continue to perform rock arrangements of his music as a part of another similar band, known as the Earthbound Papas.
Cyan is the tenth album by American rock band Three Dog Night, released in 1973. The album's original working title was "Seven Ball, Center Pocket", which was changed for unknown reasons.
Skull Ring is the fourteenth studio album by American rock singer Iggy Pop, released in November 2003. Every track on the album features guest performers. The performers are The Stooges, The Trolls, Green Day, Sum 41, and Peaches.
Live at the El Mocambo is a 1993 live album by Elvis Costello and the Attractions. Recorded on March 6, 1978, from a live radio broadcast by CHUM-FM in Toronto. A tape of the broadcast was obtained by the Canadian division of CBS records and released as an exclusive Canadian promotional album in the same year. As the show's fame began to grow, it became heavily bootlegged.
Free Collars Kingdom is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujima Takuya. The individual chapters were serialized in Magazine Z, and compiled into three tankōbon volumes released by Kodansha from February 2003 to March 2004. Set in Ikebukuro, Japan, the series revolves around the struggle of two stray cat groups. Cyan, a young newly abandoned cat, joins one of them, the Free Collars. Each cat has two appearances; to humans, they appear as normal cats, but to other cats, they appear as catboys and catgirls. Each cat has their own attack, and some carry weapons.
Diamantina Cocktail is the third studio album by the Australian rock group Little River Band, released in May 1977. It peaked at No. 2 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart and reaching No. 49 on the Billboard 200. The album was certified Gold in the U.S. by the RIAA in January 1978 for over 500,000 copies sold.
Sweet Warrior is the thirteenth studio album by Richard Thompson, released in 2007. Thompson financed the recording of this album himself and then licensed the finished album to various labels for distribution. On its release, Sweet Warrior entered Amazon.com's top 20 for music sales.
"Almost Easy" is a song by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. It is the second song as well as lead single from their self-titled fourth album. The song is one of the band's most popular tracks, and has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Masada Anniversary Edition Vol. 1: Masada Guitars is the first album in a series of five releases celebrating the 10th anniversary of John Zorn's Masada songbook project.
Body & Soul is the fourth studio album by English singer Rick Astley released in 1993. It was not commercially successful and became the first album released by Astley to miss the UK album chart. It did enter the Italian album chart at #28. Two singles were released to support the album, "Hopelessly" which charted in the UK at #33 followed by "The Ones You Love" which peaked at #48.
Filmworks III: 1990–1995 features the scores for film and advertisements by John Zorn. The album was originally released on the Japanese labels Evva in 1995 and Toys Factory in 1996 and subsequently re-released on Zorn's own label, Tzadik Records, in 1997. It features the music that Zorn wrote and recorded for Thieves Quartet (1993), directed by Joe Chappelle, which was performed by the group that would become Masada; nine cues for Kiriko Kubo's Music For Tsunta (1988); eleven tracks for Hollywood Hotel (1994), directed by Mei-Juin Chen; and thirty-two pieces for advertisements by Wieden & Kennedy.
Elephant Jokes is the 12th studio album released by singer-songwriter Robert Pollard on August 11, 2009, and the 8th full-length album to be released by Pollard since the break-up of his band Guided by Voices in 2004. Unlike recent Pollard albums, Todd Tobias does not play all the instruments on Elephant Jokes, as Pollard plays some guitar on this album.
Greatest Hits is a compilation album by heavy metal band Dokken. It is a collection of re-recorded 1980s hits along with two new tracks. On March 1, 2010, it was digitally released to iTunes and Amazon.com. The physical album with additional tracks was released in the US by Cleopatra Records on May 4, 2010, and in Japan on May 11, 2010, by King Records. On June 14, 2011, it was re-released by Store For Music LTD under the new title The Anthems with a new cover. The Anthems contains both of the bonus tracks from the Japanese edition of Greatest Hits.
"El Dorado" is the second track from English heavy metal band Iron Maiden's 2010 album The Final Frontier. The song is the band's forty-first single, and the only one from the album. It is also the last single to use the band's alternate logo. It was released as a free download on the band's official site at 00:01 on 8 June 2010 (UTC), one day before the album's supporting tour began. Released ten weeks before The Final Frontier, it marks the longest time between the release of an Iron Maiden single and the studio album it is featured on since 1980's "Running Free". The cover art was created by Anthony Dry and is based on the covers of the EC Comics published by William Gaines that were popular in the 1950s. Regarding the early online release of the song, vocalist Bruce Dickinson explained, "El Dorado is a preview of the forthcoming studio album. As we will be including it in the set of our Final Frontier World Tour, we thought it would be great to thank all our fans and get them into The Final Frontier mood by giving them this song up front of the tour and album release."
The Trouble with Angels is the fifth studio album by American rock band Filter. It was released on August 17, 2010 through Rocket Science Ventures in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe. The first single from the album, "The Inevitable Relapse", was released for free on the band's official website on May 26, 2010. The album debuted at number 64 on Billboard's Top 200, selling 6,300 copies.
Album Number Two is the second studio album from country music duo Joey + Rory. The album was released to the public on September 14, 2010, via Vanguard Records and Sugar Hill Records. Its lead single, "This Song's for You," was released to country radio on July 20, 2010. However, the single failed to enter the Hot Country Songs chart. The album's second single "That's Important to Me" was released to country radio in October 2010, and debuted at number 58 on the chart week ending February 12, 2011.
The Union is a collaboration studio album by singer-songwriters Elton John and Leon Russell, released on 19 October 2010 in the US and on 25 October in the UK. This is John's second collaboration album, after 1993's Duets. This is the first studio release by John since 1979's Victim of Love without any of his regular band members. It is also his highest charting studio album on the Billboard 200 since 1976's Blue Moves, debuting at No. 3, as well as Russell's highest charting studio album since 1972's Carney. The Union was No. 3 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 30 Best Albums of 2010.
Use Me is the third studio album by American rock band Pvris. It was released August 28, 2020, by Warner Records. The album features 11 songs, three of which are featured on the band's 2019 EP, Hallucinations. Use Me is the band's final album to feature lead guitarist Alex Babinski, who was fired from the band following allegations of sexual misconduct two days before the album's release. It is also their last album to be released on this label before the band signed to Hopeless Records in 2023.
