Rose Atima Ayaka (born 17 September 1975) is a Ugandan politician, who served as the elected District Woman Representative for Maracha District, in the 10th Ugandan Parliament (2016 - 2021). [1]
Ayaka was born on 17 September 1975. She attended primary school locally. She attended Mvara Secondary School in the city of Arua, for her O-Level studies, graduating in 1989. She then continued with her A-Level education at Muni Girls' Secondary School, also in Arua, obtaining her High School Diploma from there in 1993. [1]
She was then admitted to Makerere University, Uganda's oldest and largest public university, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences. In 1999, she attended an Officer Cadet Course at the Uganda Military Academy, in Kabamba, Mubende District, and was awarded a certificate of attendance. [1]
She also has a Certificate in Effective Supervisory Management, awarded by the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute. Her Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management was obtained from the Uganda Management Institute (UMI) in Kampala, Uganda's capital city. As of 2016, Ayaka was studying to obtain a Master of Management Studies degree, also at UMI. [1]
Ayaka spent over fifteen years before entering politics, working for the Independent Electoral Commission of Uganda. From 1999 until 2000, she worked as the Assistant District Registrar. She then served as the District Registrar from 2000 until 2011. From 2012 until 2015, she was the Regional Election Officer at the Electoral Commission of Uganda. [1]
During the 2016 parliamentary elections, Rose Atima Ayaka defeated two other candidates to win the Maracha District Women's Seat in the 10th Parliament. She ran as a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement political party. [2] In the 10th Parliament, she sat on the parliamentary committee on human rights and the parliamentary committee on health. [1]
She is a member of the Uganda Women Parliamentary Association (UWOPA). [3] She is interested in promoting education, public health and economic empowerment in her community. [4]
Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, commonly known as Jessica Alupo, is a Ugandan politician who is the ninth and current vice president of Uganda since 2021. She is also an educator, and former military officer. She previously served in the cabinet of Uganda as minister of education between 2011 and 2016. She is also an elected member of parliament as Katakwi District's women's representative.
Kaabule Evelyn Naome Mpagi is a Ugandan human resource management consultant and politician. She is a former Member of Parliament, having served as the first Women's Representative for Luuka District in Uganda's 9th Parliament, after the district was created by an act of parliament and became functional on 1 July 2010. She served in this role until 2016 when she was defeated by Esther Mbulakubuza Mbayo in the 2016 general election. Then a member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), she served on three parliamentary committees during her time in Parliament: the Public Accounts Committee, the Committee on Social Services, and the Presidential Affairs Committee. Having been defeated by Mbayo in the NRM primary, she ran on an independent ticket in the 2016 election cycle.
Nabilah Naggayi Sempala is a Ugandan politician. As a Member of Parliament she has represented the Kampala Women Parliamentary Constituency in the 10th Ugandan Parliament.
Rosemary Bikaako Tumusiime is a Ugandan marketing professional, public administrator, feminist and politician. She is the elected Member of Parliament for Entebbe Municipality and is a representative for NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. She is the first female representative for the constituency in over three decades and succeeded Muhammad Kawuma who served for two consecutive terms from 2006 to 2016. In the 10th Parliament, she serves as a member of the Committee on Equal Opportunities and the Committee on Presidential Affairs. She is also a member of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus, the Buganda Parliamentary Caucusand the treasurer of the Network for African Women Ministers and Parliamentarians (NAWMP).
Doreen Ruth Amule, commonly known as Doreen Aumule, is a Ugandan politician and member of parliament, representing Amolatar District Women's Constituency, since 2017. She is a co-sponsor of the controversial parliamentary bill to scrap the age limits of the Ugandan president, as enshrined in the 1995 Ugandan Constitution.

Achiro Lucy Otim, commonly referred to as Lucy Achiro Otim is a female Ugandan politician and a Gender Specialist. She is the district woman representative for Aruu North County consistency, Pader district in the 10th Parliament. Achiro belongs to an independent political party at the Parliament of Uganda. She won the parliamentary seat running as an independent candidate in 2016. Her tenure as member of parliament was cut short when the Ugandan supreme court nullified her election for non-compliance with electoral laws because the electoral commission failed to carry out a vote recount after she had won with a two vote margin, beating James Nabinson Kidega of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). However, she returned as member of parliament after being re-elected Aruu north member of parliament in the April 2017 election by again beating Kidega, this time 64 percent to 32 percent.
