Rosemary Nyakikongoro (born c.1965) is a Ugandan politician.She attended St.Mary's College Rushoroza for secondary education. She was an independent women's representative for Sheema District in Uganda's ninth Parliament (2011-2016). In the 2021 general election, she was re-elected as women's representative for Sheema District, this time standing on the National Resistance Movement ticket.
Rosemary Nyakikongoro gained a bachelor of social sciences and a master's degree in demography from Makerere University. She became a women's activist working with the Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE). In 2010 she attempted to represent the National Resistance Movement for Sheema District, one of five counties of the old Bushenyi District which was newly granted district status. After a high court decision overturned her candidature for the National Resistance Movement, Nyakikongoro stood and was elected, aged 46, as an independent candidate for Sheema District in the 2011 general election. In a July 2011 meeting presided over by the first lady, Janet Museveni, NRM women MPs voted for Nyakikongoro over Ibanda District women's MP Margaret Kiboijana to be the NRM-endorsed candidate for the role of Uganda Women Parliamentary Association (UWOPA) chairperson. Opposition MPs accused Museveni of trying to divide women along political party lines and proposed Betty Amongi for the position. [2] According to some reports, President Museveni and his wife wanted Kobijiana rather than Nyakikongoro as UWOPA chair, so some URM loyalists then chose to vote for Amongi. [3]
In 2015 Nyakikongoro lost the NRM primary election to Jacklet Atuhaire. Standing as an independent candidate, she also lost to Atuhaire in the 2016 Ugandan general election. [4] She secured a job as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). [5]
Nyakikongoro won back the NRM nomination to be the women's representative for Sheema District in September 2020, polling 41,134 votes (41.7%) to beat the incumbent Atuhaire, who received 37,865 votes (38.4%). [4] In the 2021 general election, she was elected to the eleventh Parliament. [6]
Jenipher Kacha Namuyangu, also Jennifer Namuyangu Byakatonda, but commonly referred to as Jennifer Namuyangu, is a Ugandan politician and environmentalist. She belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party. She is the current Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs in the Prime Minister's Office and former Minister of State for Local Government in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. She previously served as the Minister of State for Water Resources, from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the Cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011, she was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Betty Bigombe. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Pallisa District Women's Representative, from 2001 until 2011. In 2010, Pallisa District was split into two, to create Kibuku District. Namuyangu contested for the parliamentary seat of Kibuku County, Kibuku District. She was rigged by Saleh Kamba by a wide margin.
Mary Busingye Karoro Okurut, more commonly known as Mary Karoro Okurut, is a Ugandan educator, author and politician. She is the former Cabinet Minister in Charge of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. Prior to that, from 1 March 2015 until 6 June 2016, she served as Cabinet Minister for National Security. She was appointed to that position on 1 March 2015, replacing Wilson Muruli Mukasa, who was appointed Minister of Gender and Social Issues. Between 2012 and 2015, she served as the Minister of Gender and Social Issues in the Cabinet of Uganda. She was appointed to that position in 2012. She replaced Syda Bumba, who resigned from Cabinet. Mary Karoro Okurut also serves as the elected Member of Parliament for Bushenyi District Women's Constituency. In the 2020 National resistance movement NRM party flag bearer elections, Karooro lost to Annet Katusiime Mugisha who was elected Bushenyi district woman member of parliament in the 2021 Uganda presidential and parliamentary elections.
Barbara Nekesa Oundo is a Ugandan politician and diplomat, who serves as Uganda's High Commissioner to South Africa, based in Pretoria. In that capacity, she also represents her country, to the nations of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland.

She serves on the special Presidential Advisory Committee on Budget (PACOB) and is a member of the Budget Committee and the Committee on Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Parliament.
Jacklet Atuhaire Rwabukurukuru Mukwana is a Ugandan oil and gas expert, international development professional and politician. She is the elected Woman MP for Sheema District and is not affiliated to any political party in Uganda. She succeeded NRM's Rosemary Nyakikongoro who in 2015 had defeated her in the party's primary elections in controversial circumstances. Atuhaire is also a former guild president for the University of East London and is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

She is a member of the National Resistance Movement and the Chairperson of the Presidential Affairs (NRM), the ruling political party in Uganda under the chairmanship of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, the current president of the Republic of Uganda. In the 2021 Uganda general elections, Ababiku retained her seat democratically for the third time as women member of parliament for Adjumani district since 2011.

Peace Kusasira also referred to as Kusasira Peace Kanyesigye Mubiru is a female Ugandan politician and social worker. She is the district woman representative of Mukono District under the National Resistance Movement political party. She served as the MP in the tenth, and ninth parliament and lost in the 2021–2026 elections. In the ninth parliament, Peace Kusasira, took the seat from outgoing MP, Margaret Nalugo.

He was the Chairman for the Bunyoro Parliamentary Caucus. Tinkasimire was one of the 29 MPs labeled “rebel MPs) by his party NRM for their opposition against removal of age limit for presidential candidates which would allow President Yoweri Museveni to remain in office beyond 75 years age limit.
