Rosemount Halt railway station served the suburb of Rosemount, Perth and Kinross, Scotland, from 1857 to 1955 on the Scottish Midland Junction Railway.

History

The station opened as Rosemount in September 1857 by the Scottish Midland Junction Railway. It was situated south of a level crossing and it had a timber waiting room. The station's name was changed to Rosemount Halt in 1938. It closed on 10 January 1955. [1]

Pittenzie Halt railway station on the Crieff Junction Railway served the small hamlet of Pittachar, near Crieff in Scotland. The line was built in 1856 for the Crieff Junction Railway, which connected Crieff with the Scottish Central Railway at Crieff Junction. The CJR was absorbed by the Caledonian Railway in 1865, which itself became part of the London, Midland and Scottish in 1923. The line and the station were closed as part of the Beeching closures in 1964.

Auchterhouse railway station served the village of Auchterhouse in the Scottish county of Angus. Services were provided by the Dundee and Newtyle Railway. The first station of the name had to be moved in 1860 when the line was realigned to avoid an incline.

Although primarily built as a goods line, with a dedicated goods station at Balerno, serving the many mills on the Water of Leith, a passenger service was provided by the Caledonian Railway using the Balerno Loop and after grouping by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, seeing formal closure to passenger traffic shortly after nationalisation. The Coleford, Monmouth, Usk & Pontypool Railway (CMU&PR) was a standard gauge railway of 16 miles (26 km) which ran from Monmouth to Little Mill, near Pontypool in Monmouthshire, Wales. It was intended to convey the mineral products of the Forest of Dean to the ironworks of South Wales, by connecting to the Newport, Abergavenny and Hereford Railway at Little Mill Junction. The NAHR made the onward connection over its Taff Vale Extension line. The CMU&PR intended to acquire the Monmouth Railway, actually a horse-operated plateway, and convert it to locomotive operation.

Ravelrig Junction Platform railway station or Ravelrig Halt was originally opened in 1884 as a two platform station on the Shotts line on the edge of the Dalmahoy Estate in an area that now forms part of the city of Edinburgh. It stood just to the west of Ravelrig Junction that served the Balerno Loop Line. After closure in 1920 Ravelrig Platform for Dalmahoy Golf Course was opened at the same site around 1927 as a single platform when the Dalmahoy Estate became a hotel with a golf course, however it is stated to have closed in 1930. The site may have also served a military purpose.
