Aleksey Svirin is a Russian rower. He won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's quadruple sculls, with Igor Kravtsov, Sergey Fedorovtsev and Nikolay Spinyov. He also competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.

Valent Sinković Croatian rower

Valent Sinković is a Croatian rower. He is the older brother of rower Martin Sinković with whom he won the gold medal in Men's double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He had previously won the silver in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics with his brother, David Šain and Damir Martin.

It was the 20th appearance of the event, which had been held at every Olympic Games since the introduction of rowing in 1900. NOCs were limited to one boat apiece; 22 sent a competitor in the men's single sculls. Thomas Lange of East Germany won the event, denying Pertti Karppinen a record fourth-straight win and starting a two-Games winning streak of his own.

Dmytro Valeriyovych Mikhay is a Ukrainian rower. He won the gold medal in the quadruple sculls at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, with what is still a world's fastest time as of September 2018.
