Royal Mansour Casablanca, is a luxury hotel in the heart of Casablanca, Morocco. It opened in 1952 and was the preferred hotel of the Moroccan Royalty and Nobility. It closed in 2015 and was demolished in 2017. [1] . In 2024 the hotel reopened.

The 2003 Casablanca bombings, commonly known as May 16, were a series of coordinated suicide bombings on May 16, 2003, in Casablanca, Morocco. The attacks, which were later revendicated by al-Qaeda, were the deadliest terrorist attacks in the country's history, claiming the lives of forty-five people and injuring at least 100. Despite their deliberate targeting of Jews, none of the victims were Jews as the attack occurred during Shabbat.
