Rozwell Kid is an American indie rock band formed in 2011 [1] in West Virginia, United States. They released their first studio album on Broken World Media and their most recent album on SideOneDummy.

History

Rozwell Kid began in 2011 with the release of an album titled The Rozwell Kid LP. [2]

In February 2013, Rozwell Kid released their second album titled Unmacho. [3] In October 2013, Rozwell Kid released a split with Sleeping Bag titled Dreamboats. [4]

In November 2014, Rozwell Kid released their third LP titled Too Shabby, which featured guitar solos approved by Lee Hartney of The Smith Street Band. [5] [6]

In March 2015, Rozwell Kid released an EP titled Good Graphics. [7] [8] On June 23, 2015, Rozwell Kid released a split with The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die titled Fourteen Minute Mile. [9] [10]

In June 2017, Rozwell Kid released an album titled Precious Art, their first album on SideOneDummy. The album received positive reviews from numerous publications, with an average review score of 80 on Metacritic based on seven reviews. [11] [12] The album went on to reach the 13th position on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, as well as 24th on the Vinyl Albums chart and 39th on the Independent Albums chart. [13]

Silverstein is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of 11 studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup remained unchanged for eleven years from December 2001 to September 2012, then consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the band had announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and would be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton on backing vocals. Matchbook Romance was an American emo band from Poughkeepsie, New York and was formed in 1997. They were signed to Epitaph Records. They released two full-length albums and one EP. Their EP, West for Wishing, released in 2003 was their first recorded album during their time on Epitaph; their full-length debut album, Stories and Alibis, was recorded in the same year.

Cherry Ghost were an English music group which began in 2006, first as an alias for singer-songwriter Simon Aldred as a solo artist, before morphing into a full band. Their debut album, Thirst for Romance, was released in July 2007 and entered the UK Album Charts at No. 7. It was nominated for an Ivor Novello award as well as winning Aldred an Ivor Novello for best song "People Help the People". A second album, titled Beneath This Burning Shoreline, was released in July 2010 to positive critical acclaim. Aldred, under the moniker Out Cold, released a solo album titled Invasion of Love in September 2013, featuring a markedly synthpop sound. I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It is the second studio album by English band the 1975, released on 26 February 2016 through Dirty Hit and Polydor. In 2014, frontman Matty Healy released a series of cryptic tweets containing lyrics from the album, revealing its title the following year. After their social accounts were deleted and reinstated with a new visual identity, the band officially confirmed the album in September 2015, a month before "Love Me" was released as the lead single. Over the course of five months, "Ugh!", "Somebody Else" and "The Sound" were released as singles, with "A Change of Heart" released four days prior to release. "She's American" and "Loving Someone" were later released in November 2016 and February 2017 as the final singles.

<i>Illusory Walls</i> 2021 studio album by the World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die

Illusory Walls is the fourth studio album by American emo band the World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, released October 8, 2021, by Epitaph Records. The name of the album, as well as the lead single "Invading the World of the Guilty as a Spirit of Vengeance", is inspired by the video game series Dark Souls. It is the band's first album since the departure of guitarist-vocalists Tyler Bussey and Dylan Balliett and the death of founding member Tom Diaz. The album was followed by a tour through the fall, including a concert at Brooklyn's Elsewhere Hall which was recorded for their live album Thank You for Being Here.
