Ruy Fausto (1935 – May 1, 2020) was a Brazilian philosopher who taught at the University of São Paulo.
Fausto was born in São Paulo, and received his Ph.D. from University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne in 1981. He was given the title of emeritus professor in 1998, by the University of São Paulo. [1] With his thesis Marx: Lógica e Política (in English, Marx: Logic and Politics), he was considered one of the main Brazilian marxist theorists. He was the brother of historian Boris Fausto and pathologist Nelson Fausto. He died on May 1, 2020, in Paris, France, after having a heart attack. [2] [3]

Tarcísio Pereira de Magalhães Sobrinho, best known as Tarcísio Meira, was a Brazilian actor. He was one of the first actors to work in the most popular Brazilian channel Globo. He was born in São Paulo and was the longtime owner of Fazenda São Marcos, a 5000 ha cattle ranch in the eastern Amazonian state of Pará. Fazenda São Marcos is located approximately 20 km east of Aurora do Pará, off the Belém-Brasília highway.
Alfredo Bosi was a Brazilian historian, literary critic, and professor. He was a member of the Academia Brasileira de Letras, occupying Chair number 12. One of his most famous books is História Concisa da Literatura Brasileira, widely used in Brazilian universities in literature courses. Bosi also wrote several studies about Italian literature and about major Brazilian writers as well as essays on the field of hermeneutics.

Álvaro de Moya was a Brazilian journalist, professor, researcher, comics artist, illustrator, writer and TV producer. He was one of the pioneers in academic research on comics in Brazil and one of those responsible for the First International Exhibition of Comics, held in São Paulo in 1951. Moya worked on the Disney comics published by Editora Abril, published novel adaptations at the EBAL publishing house, and made cartoons, illustrations and articles about comics for several newspapers. His first book, Shazam!, published in 1970, is considered one of the most important for Brazilian research on comics. In 1989, he was awarded with the Prêmio Angelo Agostini for Master of National Comics, an award that aims to honor artists who have dedicated themselves to Brazilian comics for at least 25 years.
