S. A. Ravindranath (born 26 November 1946) is an Indian politician. Born in Shiramagondanahalli village of Davangere District,he represents the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Davangere North Constituency in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He is a senior Cabinet minister in the BJP government of Karnataka.
A longtime member of the Bharatiya Janata Party,he has been elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for four consecutive terms since 1994. He was elected as MLA from Mayakonda constituency for three consecutive terms and is currently representing the Davanagere North constituency. He won the May 2008 Karnataka state elections with the highest margin of over 53,000 votes against his nearest rival. Earlier,he was the Minister for Sugar and Rural water supply in the BJP-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government headed by H.D.Kumaraswamy. Following the historic victory of the BJP in Karnataka,he was sworn-in as a Cabinet minister in the Yeddyurappa government on 30 May 2008 and was entrusted with the Agriculture portfolio. Later he served as the Minister for Horticulture in the D. V. Sadananda Gowda ministry and Shettar ministry. He was also the minister in charge for Davanagere district at that time. He is credited with bringing the BJP to power in the Davanagere City Corporation for the first time in 2007 with an overwhelming majority. However,the actual credit should go to Congress Leader S. S. Mallikarjun whose papers were rejected at the last moment. [1] [2]
Haradanahalli Doddegowda Deve Gowda is an Indian politician who served as the 11th prime minister of India from 1 June 1996 to 21 April 1997. He was previously the 14th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996. He presently is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Karnataka. He is the national president of the Janata Dal (Secular) party. Born in a farming family,he joined the Indian National Congress party in 1953,and remained a member until 1962. He was imprisoned during the Emergency. He became President of the state unit of Janata Dal in 1994,and was considered to be a driving force in the party's victory in Karnataka. He served as the 8th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996. In the 1996 general elections,no party won enough seats to form a government. When the United Front,a coalition of regional parties,formed the central government with the support of the Congress,Deve Gowda was unexpectedly chosen to head the government and was elected Prime Minister. During his tenure as prime minister,he also served as Home Minister for some time. His prime ministerial tenure lasted for less than a year. After his prime ministerial tenure,he was elected to the 12th (1998),14th (2004),15th,and 16th Lok Sabha,as Member of Parliament for the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency. He lost Lok Sabha elections in 2019 from Tumkuru but has been elected to Rajya Sabha since.
Siddaramaiah,also referred to by his nickname Siddu,is an Indian politician who is serving as the 22nd Chief Minister of Karnataka since 2023. He also held that position previously from 2013 to 2018,being only the second person to hold that office for a full five-year term. He belongs to the Indian National Congress and is presently the leader of the Congress Legislative Party. He represented the Varuna Assembly constituency from 2023,previously from 2008 to 2018,Badami Assembly constituency from 2018 to 2023,and from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency from 2004 to 2007,1994 to 1999 and from 1983 to 1989 in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1996 to 1999 and from 2004 to 2005 while he was a member of the Janata Dal and Janata Dal (Secular). He also served as the Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly on two occasions from 2019 to 2023 and from 2009 to 2013. Siddaramaiah was a member of various Janata Parivar factions for several years.

Basangouda Ramangouda Patil Yatnal is an Indian BJP politician who was the Minister of state for Textiles from 1 July 2002 to 8 September 2003 and Minister of state for Railways from 8 September 2003 to 16 May 2004 and current MLA from Bijapur City Assembly constituency since 2018. He has been a member of parliament from the Bijapur constituency for two terms and has been a member of the legislative council from the Bijapur Local Authorities constituency for one term.
Jagadish Shivappa Shettar is an Indian politician,who served as the 15th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2012 to 2013. He is currently serving as Member of Karnataka Legislative Council. He has subsequently served as Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He also served as the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly during 2008–2009. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. Earlier he was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party,which he quit on being denied the MLA ticket in 2023. He represented Hubli-Dharwad Central Vidhan Sabha seat,which he resigned in 2023 before the elections.
G. Karunakara Reddy is an Indian politician from the state of Karnataka,who is the member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Harapanahalli assembly constituency. He was made Revenue Minister in B.S Yeddyurappa Cabinet. He was previously a member of the 14th Lok Sabha from the Bellary constituency as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Gowdara Mallikarjunappa Siddeshwara,popularly known as G. M. Siddeshwara,is a member of the Lok Sabha,representing Davangere constituency of Karnataka since from 2004. He represents Davangere Constituency in 14th,15th,16th and 17th Lok Sabha. He was the Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and prior to that,Minister of State for Civil Aviation of India till he resigned from the Ministry after a few days of cabinet reshuffle in July 2016.
Sarbananda Sonowal is an Indian politician of Bharatiya Janata Party from Assam who is serving as the current Cabinet Minister of Ports,Shipping and Waterways and Cabinet Minister of AYUSH,Government of India and the member of the Rajya Sabha representing Assam since 2021 and also a member of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs since 2021. Venur Dhananjay Kumar Alva was a former Union and Cabinet minister of India and a former Member of Parliament from Mangalore. On 20 August 2019 he was inducted as the Cabinet Minister in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa. On 17 February 2020 he was elected as an MLC by securing 113 votes out of the 120 votes polled.

Keshava Sudhakar is an Indian politician and also he was Ex-Minister of Medical Education and Health of Karnataka from 6 February 2020 to 13 May 2023. He was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Chikkaballapur in the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Indian National Congress and later was re-elected to the house in 2019 as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also contested in 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election in Chikballapur from BJP but lost to INC Candidate Pradeep Eshwar.
