The SWAC women's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in college soccer for the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The tournament has been held every year since 2003. It is a single-elimination tournament with seeding based on conference records. [1] The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's soccer championship.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is a collegiate athletic conference headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, which is made up of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southern United States. George Ivory is the head men's basketball coach for Mississippi Valley State University. He was the head men's basketball coach at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff from 2008 to 2021. Previously, Ivory was an assistant at Mississippi Valley State, his alma mater, from 1998–2002, 2007–2008, and 2021–2022.

The 2013 SWAC men's basketball tournament took place March 12–16, 2013 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. The tournament champion, Southern University, received the Southwestern Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship.

The 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball tournament was held at Wesley Barrow Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana, from May 14 through 18, 2014. Jackson State won their sixteenth tournament championship, and second in a row, to earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. The event was originally scheduled for LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas, but was moved due to concerns about player safety.

The 2016 SWAC women's soccer tournament is the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southwestern Athletic Conference to be held from November 3 to 6, 2016. The seven-match tournament will be held at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight team single-elimination tournament will consist of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Howard Lady Bison are the defending tournament champions after defeating the Alabama State Hornets in the championship match.

The 2018–19 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils basketball team represented Mississippi Valley State University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Delta Devils were led by fifth-year head coach Andre Payne, and played their home games at the Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 6–26 overall, 4–14 in SWAC play to finish in a tie for ninth place. They failed to qualify for the 2019 SWAC tournament, as only the top eight teams are eligible to participate.

The 2018 SWAC women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southwestern Athletic Conference held November 1–4, 2018. The seven-match tournament took place at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Alabama State Hornets, however they were unable to defend their title, losing 1–0 to the Grambling State Tigers in the Semifinals. The eventual champions were the Howard Bison, who defeated Grambling State 1–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the third in the history of the Howard women's soccer program, all of which have come under the direction of head coach Brent Leiba.

The 2021–22 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils basketball team represented Mississippi Valley State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Delta Devils were led by third-year head coach Lindsey Hunter for the first 25 games of the season and by interim head coach George Ivory for the final three games of the season. They played their home games at the Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 2–26, 2–13 in SWAC play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the SWAC tournament.

The 2021 SWAC women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southwestern Athletic Conference held November 4–7, 2021. The seven-match tournament took place at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Alabama State Hornets, however they were unable to defend their title, losing 3–0 to the Prairie View A&M Panthers in the Semifinals. Prairie View A&M went on to win the tournament, defeating Grambling State in a penalty shoot-out in the Final. The conference tournament title was the second in the history of the Paririe View A&M women's soccer program, both of which have come under head coach Sonia Curvelo. As tournament champions, Prairie View A&M earned the SWAC's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The seven-match tournament took place at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Jackson State, however they were unable to defend their title, as they reached the Final. Top seed Grambling State defeated Jackson State 2–1 in a rematch of last years Final. The conference tournament title was the third in the history of the Grambling State women's soccer program, and first for head coach Justin Wagar. As tournament champions, Grambling State earned the SWAC's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 2023–24 Southern Lady Jaguars basketball team represented Southern University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Lady Jaguars, who were led by sixth-year head coach Carlos Funchess, played their home games at the F. G. Clark Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
