The SWAC women's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in college soccer for the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The tournament has been held every year since 2003. It is a single-elimination tournament with seeding based on conference records. [1] The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's soccer championship.

The Tigers, led by seventh-year head coach Donte Jackson, played their home games at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center in Grambling, Louisiana as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). They finished the season 21–15, 14–4 in SWAC play, to win the regular-season championship. As the No. 1 seed in the SWAC tournament, they defeated Alabama State, Bethune–Cookman and Texas Southern to win the SWAC tournament championship; as a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. As a No. 16 seed in the Midwest region, they defeated Montana State in the First Four, before losing to Purdue in the first round.

George Ivory is the head men's basketball coach for Mississippi Valley State University. He was the head men's basketball coach at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff from 2008 to 2021. Previously, Ivory was an assistant at Mississippi Valley State, his alma mater, from 1998–2002, 2007–2008, and 2021–2022.

The 2009 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils football team represented Mississippi Valley State University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 2009 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by eighth-year head coach Willie Totten, the Delta Devils compiled an overall record of 3–8 and a mark of 1–6 in conference play, tying for fourth place in the SWAC East Division. Coach Totten resigned after the end of the season, the Delta Devils' third straight three-win season.

The 2016 SWAC women's soccer tournament is the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southwestern Athletic Conference to be held from November 3 to 6, 2016. The seven-match tournament will be held at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight team single-elimination tournament will consist of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Howard Lady Bison are the defending tournament champions after defeating the Alabama State Hornets in the championship match.

They finished the season 16–17, 10–8 in SWAC play to finish in a four way tie for third place. As the 5-seed in the SWAC tournament they defeated Prairie View A&M before losing in the semifinals to Texas Southern.

The 2017 SWAC women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southwestern Athletic Conference held November 2–5, 2017. The seven-match tournament took place at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Alabama State Hornets and they successfully defended their title by virtue of winning the penalty shoot-out tiebreaking procedure following a tie with the Grambling State Tigers in the tournament final. The conference tournament title was the second in the history of the Alabama State women's soccer program, both of which have come under the direction of head coach Jodie Smith.

The 2018–19 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils basketball team represented Mississippi Valley State University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Delta Devils were led by fifth-year head coach Andre Payne, and played their home games at the Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 6–26 overall, 4–14 in SWAC play to finish in a tie for ninth place. They failed to qualify for the 2019 SWAC tournament, as only the top eight teams are eligible to participate.

The seven-match tournament took place at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Stadium in Prairie View, Texas. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Alabama State Hornets, however they were unable to defend their title, losing 1–0 to the Grambling State Tigers in the Semifinals. The eventual champions were the Howard Bison, who defeated Grambling State 1–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the third in the history of the Howard women's soccer program, all of which have come under the direction of head coach Brent Leiba.

The defending champions were the Prairie View A&M Panthers, however they were unable to defend their title, not qualifying for the tournament as they finished in ninth place in regular season play. Top seed Jackson State won the tournament, defeating Grambling State in overtime in the Final. The conference tournament title was the third in the history of the Jackson State women's soccer program, and first for head coach Ted Flogaites. As tournament champions, Jackson State earned the SWAC's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The defending champions were the Jackson State, however they were unable to defend their title, as they reached the Final. Top seed Grambling State defeated Jackson State 2–1 in a rematch of last years Final. The conference tournament title was the third in the history of the Grambling State women's soccer program, and first for head coach Justin Wagar. As tournament champions, Grambling State earned the SWAC's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The Devilettes, who were led by second-year head coach Kimberly Anderson, played their home games at the Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). They finished the season 4–27, 3–15 in SWAC play, to finish in a tie for 11th (last) place.
