Sabine Lohmann (born 13 March 1973) is a German former professional tennis player.
Lohmann played on the professional tour in the early 1990s, reaching a best singles ranking of 184 in the world. At the 1993 Australian Open she made the second round of qualifying and also featured in the main draw of the doubles, partnering Veronika Martinek. [1]

Sabine Appelmans is a former professional tennis player from Belgium. She was Belgium's Fed Cup captain from 2007 until 2011.
Barbara Schett Eagle is an Austrian former professional tennis player, who reached her highest singles ranking of world No. 7 in September 1999. Between 1993 and 2004 she played in 48 matches for the Austria Fed Cup team, winning 30. She also represented Austria at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in singles and doubles, reaching the quarterfinals of the singles event. She retired after the 2005 Australian Open and now works for Eurosport as a commentator and presenter.

ITF tournaments are not part of the WTA Tour, although they award points for the WTA World Ranking.
Sabine Hack is a former professional tennis player from Germany. She began her career on the WTA Tour in 1983. She won four singles and one doubles titles in her career. Her best Grand Slam performance was reaching the quarterfinals at the 1994 French Open. Hack reached a career-high ranking of No. 13 in the world in January 1995. She retired from the tour in 1997.

She reached her highest singles ranking on January 2, 1995, when she became the No. 29 in the world. In doubles, she reached No. 38 in the same year, on January 9.

Marion Bartoli defeated Sabine Lisicki in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships. It was her first and only major title, and she won the title without losing a set, or facing a tiebreak in any set. Bartoli became the first French major champion since Amélie Mauresmo at the 2006 Wimbledon Championships. By winning her first major title on her 47th appearance, she broke the previous women's record of 45, set by Jana Novotná in 1998, for most appearances in majors before winning a title. This was also Bartoli's last major appearance, as she retired from professional tennis the following month. This also made her the first woman to win a Grand Slam at her final appearance since Ann Jones won Wimbledon in 1969.
The women's doubles competition at the 1993 Australian Open was held between 18 January and 31 January 1993 on outdoor hard courts at the National Tennis Centre at Flinders Park in Melbourne, Australia. Gigi Fernández and Natasha Zvereva won the title, defeating Pam Shriver and Elizabeth Smylie in the final.

She has won 28 major titles, as well as a Paralympic silver and bronze medal in singles and doubles, respectively, at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. She would later win gold in both at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. She also won a bronze medal in singles at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Serena Williams defeated Maria Sharapova in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2015 Australian Open. It was her sixth Australian Open singles title and her 19th major singles title overall. Sharapova reached the final after being two match points down in the second round against Alexandra Panova. The final was a rematch of the 2007 final.
