Saia Makisi (born 26 November 1981) is a Tongan rugby league footballer who plays for Villegailhenc-Aragon XIII in the Elite Two Championship.

Playing career

Saia has represented Tonga in six International games between 2002 and 2006 and scored a try against Cumbria in 2006. [1] [2]

Saia played for the New Zealand Residents sevens Team in the World Sevens competition in Australia in 2004 and was immediately signed up by Cronulla Sharks. He played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the 2005 and 2006 NSWRL Premier League before signing for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSWRL Premier League and the Chester Hill Rhinos in the 2007 Jim Beam Cup. He signed a twelve-month contract for Whitehaven for the 2008 National League One season. He left the club in September 2008, joining AS Carcassonne in France. [5]

The Chester Hill Rhinos were a rugby league team based in the suburb of Chester Hill in Sydney's south-west. From 2007 to 2009 the club fielded a side in the semi-professional NSWRL Jim Beam Cup competition in New South Wales, Australia. They folded in 2009. Their colours were blue, gold and white.

The Sydney Bulls were a rugby league team based in the suburb of Bass Hill in south-western Sydney. Founded in 1999, the club was formed by Lebanese-Australian players and businessmen who were involved in the 1997 Lebanon Rugby League World Sevens side. Since 2000, the Bulls competed in the semi-professional Metropolitan Cup and, since its inception in 2003, the NSWRL Jim Beam Cup competition in NSW, Australia. Their colours are black, white green and red. They were included in the NSW Cup for 2008-2009 and acted as a feeder club for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs under the name of the Bankstown City Bulls. Manoa Thompson is a Fijian former professional rugby league footballer. Primarily playing as a centre, he played his first grade career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Western Suburbs Magpies, and the Auckland Warriors in the NSWRL / ARL competition, as well as playing in the Super League for the Warrington Wolves.
