Nicolás Alejandro Massú Fried, nicknamed El Vampiro, is a Chilean former professional tennis player and a coach. A former world No. 9 in singles, he won the singles and doubles gold medals at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He is the only man to have won both gold medals at the same Games since the re-introduction of Olympic tennis in 1988, and they are Chile's only two Olympic gold medals. Massú also reached the final of the 2003 Madrid Masters and won six singles titles. He was the coach of 2020 US Open champion and former world No. 3 Dominic Thiem from 2019 to 2023.
Mario César Kindelán Mesa, best known as Mario Kindelán, is a Cuban former amateur boxer. He is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having competed in the lightweight division at the 2000 and 2004 events. His cousin is baseball player Orestes Kindelán.

He qualified for the Athens Games by winning the silver medal at the 1st AIBA African 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Casablanca, Morocco. In the final of the event he lost to Tunisian fighter Saifeddine Nejmaoui.

Chika Yagazie Chukwumerije is a male taekwondo practitioner from Nigeria. The son of Nigerian politician Uche Chukwumerije, Chika first drew attention in 2003 during the qualifiers for the 2003 All-Africa Games, where he eventually won a bronze medal in the Heavyweight Male category. He qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but lost his first bout to Pascal Gentil, the eventual bronze medal winner. Nevertheless, after a period of intensive training that was funded by his father, he became one of Nigeria's best chances for a medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He won a gold medal at the 2007 All-Africa Games in the +80 kg class and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games soon after. Although he lost to eventual silver-medal winner Alexandros Nikolaidis in the semifinals of the +80kg event, he was entered into the repechage round of the tournament. Here, after defeating Akmal Irgashev of Uzbekistan he claimed a bronze medal in the event, Nigeria's third medal of the tournament. Four years later he competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, but did not make it past his first bout.

She is a four-time champion at the African Judo Championships, and a bronze medalist at the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara, Italy. She also won a gold medal in the same division at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers.

He is a two-time All-Africa Games gold medalist, a three-time Olympian, and a multiple-time African wrestling champion. He also captured a bronze medal at the 2001 Mediterranean Games in Tunis, Tunisia, and eventually defeated Serbia and Montenegro's Davor Štefanek for the gold at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería, Spain.
Amin El-Hady is an Egyptian judoka, who played for the half-lightweight category. He is a two-time Olympian and a five-time medalist at the African Judo Championships. He also captured a silver medal for his division at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria, losing out to the host nation's Mounir Benamadi.
Şeref Tüfenk is a Turkish amateur Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed for the men's middleweight category. He is a two-time Olympian and a silver medalist for the 74 kg division at the 2008 European Wrestling Championships in Tampere, Finland. He studied at Ondokuz Mayıs University.
