Syed Mohammad Saifur Rahman Nizami is a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar and researcher of Hadith. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2020 by the government of Bangladesh. [1] [2] [3]
Nizami was born in the village of North Ichakhali of Ichakhali union in Mirsharai Upazila of Chittagong District. His father was Syed Shah Golam Rahman Echmati. [4]
Nizami was the first chief muhaddis (hadith scholar) at Jamia Ahmadiyya Sunnia Kamil Madrasa, Chittagong. He is the founder of Jameya Rahmania Fazil Madrasa in Mirsarai, Chittagong.
Tanvir Mokammel is a Bangladeshi filmmaker and writer. He is the recipient of Ekushey Padak in 2017. He won Bangladesh National Film Awards total ten times for the films Nodir Naam Modhumoti (1995), Chitra Nodir Pare (1999) and Lalsalu (2001).
