Saint Aloysius Elementary Academy was founded on October 18, 1897. The school was supposed to originally be built at the park entrance, but plans were scrapped for a new park entrance being developed/constructed in that area, which is now present day Lincoln Park. Then the plan was later finished when they finally built their academy on the right side of their parish. [3] They originally had four schools on opening. The schools were an only boys school an only-girls catholic school, a little kids school and a high school. All these schools either closed or merged together. The little kids school closed in late 2007 and merged with the big kids school. The girls’ catholic school merged with another school and only lasted one year until eventually merging with the big kids school. The high school closed later in late 2007 or early 2008.
